All the cams should be on the beach, or the tanning deck at breakers.

duh!

;)

Well, whaddya know. There is a Candy Mountain.

This is totally impractical, and I know it would never work, but still... What if they could somehow mount a webcam on the roof of the train? They could rig it up with a battery-powered low-wattage transmitter, and the signal could be picked up and handed off by some centrally located receiver. That way, you could see the entire back of the park passing by, including Maverick, Mean Streak, CCMR, Bone Village, Mantis, and Millenium Force.

Yes, I know. If frogs had wings they wouldn't bump their asses.

That's totally possible. All they'd need is a wireless IP camera and a wireless network available along the train's route.

I really doubt they're going to do a live camera though. The field of view from the train would be sorta limited too. Cool idea though.

If they were going to put it on a train, I'd say mount one on the front of one of Maverick's trains. :)

I think...

One on the sky ride looking toward the entrence.

One on top of Space Spiral looking at the skyline of the park.

One on Magnum looking over Challange Park.

How about in the parking lot across from Millennium's station looking up towards the lift?

I always like looking at the lift supports change color.:)

Well thats the thing, it'd be best viewed at night. Not sure how popular it would be during the day though.

It'd be popular for when the lift cable breaks or the motor poops out. Then we can all watch them working on it. :)

Lets hope we don't have to go through another one of those breakdowns again this year.

Back to the webcam issue....I found a webcam for the new World of Coke building in Atlanta. Its a fixed camera, but you can zoom in on certain parts of the image without moving the camera itself. For a cam that is viewed by hundred of people per day, that looks like a great idea. The camera stays in one place, but individuals can do whatever they want to the image without affecting other users.

They have a cool feature that allows you to view images back in time too. Cedar Point needs to install one of these bad boys!!
