There is a new blog/contest for us to pick where the webcams are going next. Where do you guys want it? I picked on top of TTDs hill looking down on Maverick. Just wondering what you guys picked.

1. On Top Of Demon Drop facing skyride (#1 choice)
2. TTD facing Maverick

Before this gets going - the contest is to pick the location of 1 of the 3 cams. You can only submit one location. Whichever is the most picked will get a camera.

I think we should take up a collection for them so they can have a "real-time" webcam instead of the "still" cameras they have. Ya know, like the FunCoast cam.

I'll have to ponder where I think the viewer's choice cam should go.

i said i thought it should be on the construction of mavericks station. ive been interested in that

I thought about submitting that idea as a long shot... but wow... it might have a chance.

I'd like to see one inside Mavericks station so we can see the work going on and when the season starts trains loading and leaving the station.

Well ya, we were just stating good locations, this isnt the submitting page!!

I think on TTD overlooking Maverick is probably the best idea I have ever heard..well ever!

Isn't TTD kind of far, I'm thinking more like Mean Streak's lift.

It would be pretty cool to have one that you can control like the FunCoast cam. Place it as high as possible on TTD and have control functions similar to the FunCoast one.

I bet they're already going to have at least one camera on Maverick. So, I would pick somewhere else. I think having it on Power Tower would be better. Then you can actually look at TTD. But, I'd only want it there if you could pan, tilt and zoom it.

I said inside Mavericks station as well. Something new....something different....something cool. And that way all of you who cant make it to opening day can watch us (who are going) have fun riding Maverick.:)

While it'd be a cool location, I have trouble believing they'd be willing to put a camera where one would likely be able to watch general maintenance going on.

It would be cool if they could put one on the Maverick train like a POV that never ends! We could whatch testing from the front seat!

HAHAHA. That wasn't exactly what I was going for when I said put it in the station, but you could bet that I would be watching.

Hopefully my schedule will change and everyone will be watching me ride with you.

Off the top of my head, and in no particular order:

1. Top of Breakers Tower, toward Breakers pool, boardwalk, and beach.

2. On top of Sweet Tooth, toward The Roundup and Maverick queue.

3. On lake side of Main Gate, toward Hurricane Hannah's.

4. On top of Super Himalaya, toward Dragster grandstands.

I could think of a lot more, perhaps better, locations, but those are my quick thoughts. Some may seem OK on paper, but in practice wouldn't be a good shot. So I guess there would be some trial and error involved in any of those.
