This may sound stupid, but it's hard for me to judge from that photo how the ride is oriented...which structure is closer to the Frontier Trail: the arch, or the lifting towers?
Ugly, abysmal placement of an eyesore of a ride in the one themed area of the park. Really?
After a streak of excellent aesthetic decisions, this is a complete whiff. The only hope is that it is indeed temporary. Then again, I hoped that about the Dinosaurs as well.
I'll just walk by and pretend it's not there. Hopefully the $$ it makes is going towards its timely replacement.
Promoter of fog.
^ I'd rather walk by a ride that is temporarily there then look at the remains of what was once a great water ride. (In my opinion)
What if they just planted trees in there?

Sure, why not? People can always use firewood.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
As it is they will have to "cut down" Ripcord when they build there.

CP America's Roller Coast just made this post to their blog, covering the changes to the park's skyline (includes RipCord in its new home, as well as Mean Streak updates): http://www.cpamericasrollercoast.com/trip-reportsnews/skyline-recei...re-changes
Wow that article gives me a headache
"It appears as if Rip Cord is now on land that was how to Shoot the Rapids"
"While Exact details on Ripcord like is it still going to be an upcarge attrction and its going to get a new name and theme are unknown"
"Mean Streak opened in 1991 and got it is Axe on September 16, 2016"
"Else where in the park the rides are wiating to be put back together in May!"
^ glad I'm not the only one bothered by all the grammatical errors

My initial thoughts. It looks better up close. I like the silly goofy name. It seems as they have made it fit pretty comfortably on that land. However, They've left a lot of the shoot the rapids stuff up. I would imagine that they are going to clear the concrete or do something so you aren't walking in a old log flume.
I also am surprised that there is clearance for flying in the way that its aiming. You should be able to get a cool ride experience from both watching and riding. You really will fly right over the midway there.
^ Hey Frog hopper, were you able to tell if the troughs were still in place? I couldn't really tell looking at one of the pictures provided.
Frontier town and flying machine is kind of a reach.
The frontier era is early 18th-mid 19th century, the Wright Brothers flight early 20th century.
The ride doesn't look too bad with its new colors, it will be interesting to see how much of the STR theming remains.
New for 2024- Wicked Twister Plus
I love the name and think it will be an interesting experience in that location. It seems like a temporary thing however. 3-5 years until they put a coaster there *fingers crossed*
