August?

Okay, the midway camera is a different type of camera than the new webcams the park is using, see the Skyhawk camera above. The housing for the Skyhawk camera and the camera on the construction site are slightly smaller, but the cameras are slightly smaller than the old webcams. Either way the Skyhawk camera matches exactly, as best as I can tell, the camera on the construction site. And those "antennas" are to keep the birds off of them; they do nothing in terms of the camera or its signal.

According to http://www.rcdb.com/id3570.htm September 7, 2006 is the date in which Project 2007 will be announced. I don't know if this is true or not but I thought it was something interesting to point out.

Hey dj, I just wanted to quote this to remind us that track is now up, and the rumors are still flying. Some are even sillier than they were before.

It will not be in August.

However, at the current rate of construction, it's not like they can keep it a secret much longer.

I think people saying the same thing (quoted above) about every new topic clogs the forums up more than anything and makes them look awful. The moderators will take care of it, calm down a little.

To me the date they announce the ride will be exciting, making this forum useFUL for me and others.

Seeing how rcdb.com is a reputable site, and I would guess that if it's on there it's fact, I wonder how they got the date?

/Not that it really matters, I just constantly wonder who's in the know and who's not, and how all of that works behind the scenes.

Most likely they got the date from Cedar Point. If you want the media outlets there to cover a story, you have to tell them when to show up dont you? You just dont see this information other places because no tv station or newspaper is going to write a story about how they got a call with a date for a press conference. Although, it may not be true because i would think Walt or Jeff would have told us if there was an announcement coming just to quiet those who still are intent on predicting the date of th eannouncement.
