I'm actually hoping they hold off and don't announce it for quite some time. I'm loving following the construction. It'd be so awesome if they got the whole thing built before the end of the season and THEN announced it. :)

Holy crapola... i looked at my cell phone and it tells me it is the first day of the month that this beautiful thread it titled after. What a wonderful day.

Its august 1st and its time to wait for the announcement around this month.

Don't hold your breath. Its only one day later than yesterday, and thusly only one day nearer to August 30th.

Yes, but Thursday starts with a "T", which looks a lot like a support. And since they will announce what all this erection of steel is going to amount to, I'm sticking to a Thursday.

Dude, you do realize that there is a day of the week that starts with an "M" as in Maverick.....it's know as Monday, I learned it way back in kindergarden ;).

True, but I'd be quite shocked if they announced the ride during or before the holiday weekend.

With the company I work for, we launch new products and marketing promotions at the begining of our new fiscal year. If Cedar Fair goes with launching / announcing at the beginning of their fiscal year, we won't hear anything until February (the begining of their fiscal year)

They specifically said mid to late august in there telecast.

Makes more sense to me now. :)- I should have read through all of the CP announcements instead of short reading.
