There is so little room to put in a 500 ft coaster in there. No way would this happen in that area.

No offence Shawn but a 500 footer wouldnt just be using that area alone, that would be impossible.
Come on guys, get real. You know a 500` Toboggan would fit in there just fine. ;)

Yeah, it'd be called Catastrophe Transport.:)
As for a 500 footer, how would something like this (sorry its a small picture). And yes I know it looks allot like MF, but it is different. Its lift hill is 55°, and it uses magnetic fins(such as Dragsters) for braking instead of MF style of magnetic brakes. Its 505 feet tall and is 130 mph. And it would have some awsome airtime. Its black just so you can see it better.....I'll leave its true color to your imagination.

Well, if you think about it, if you have a ride like that what is the point of having Millennium? A roller coaster like what you posted has everything Millennium would have and more, making the force completely obsolete. A ride like that in the 300' range would work really well in a park like Knott's, though. *** Edited 10/25/2005 8:15:37 PM UTC by Boris the Spider***

I'd be much more excited to see a hybrid in the 200' range, with a well-planned layout. For instance, why not have it travel throughout the back of the park, beginning at the WWL site, over/through MS, swing back around near Gemini, cross over to Millie Island, and finally head back toward the WWL site.Yeah, just an idea. There is plenty of space back there for a ride like that, and it could provide a good ride experience with good duration and a lot of unique elements.
Yeah, I'd like to see a coaster that goes through different parts of the park and not just wind around the same area like most do.
I doubt there will be a coaster get near 500 ft for at least 10 years. But if there was one I'd love to see it combine the elements that make MF great with the ones the make Magnum great. MF seems to be alot more about speed and intensity then anything, while Magnum seems to be about airtime. A 500' coaster should explore new elements and more elements. Not just "A GIANT MAGNUM".
I think if there was a 4th dimension coaster put in I'd be so happy I'd explode. But you know, one built without the low capacity, horrible reliability, constant maintenance, and forcing the company who built it going under. Does anyone know if another 4th dimension coaster is even possible though Arrow is no more.
wow forget the 500 footer i hope they finally run the gemni like the racer at kings island i know it has been rumored several times hopefully it will happens soon that would be awesome
although it would ruin the head chopper effect
Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

No!! really?! Of course it would!! It'd probibly be up in the $30,000,000 range.
YAY!!!
No offense TTD 120, but I think a 500 ft coaster would cost way more then that. Because 500 ft is really tall! You have to figure constructing the hughe hill if it's like Millennium Force first hill, then the hills which would probably be as tall as Magnums first hill and then maybe the pretzel loop style that both Magnum and Millennium Force uses. Try maybe $40,000,000. If Cedar Point did make the bad move of buying Six Flags, you would never see 500ft for a long long time. You new guys that have just joined summ it up really well. We need to wait a decade before we jump into the next height Limit. Although I'd rather see 500ft come in like 2010. And I feel the way Cedar Point is going these last few years, they're looking for family rides and different kinds of thrills besides breaking the Height barrier. If we went into 2006 and didn't get another coaster, I'd still be happy with Cedar Point. Period! We are spoiled and lucky to have the best park on the planet whether we live in Michigan, Indiana, or my home Ohio. *** Edited 10/26/2005 2:32:27 AM UTC by Shawn Meyer*** *** Edited 10/26/2005 2:33:49 AM UTC by Shawn Meyer*** *** Edited 10/26/2005 2:35:27 AM UTC by Shawn Meyer***
