Any word or thought on a ride for 2006???

Ok, you do prove a point Shawn.
As to my sad attempt to create a 500 footer, I would like some advice as to what would be cool for a layout. But Private Message me because I don’t want to get any of the moderators mad by talking about it on here. Any advice will do, just make sure it’s believable. I will do my best to make a logical coaster.

As if 16 wasn't enough. All this crying about CP needing a new coaster is getting old. Come on, 500 feet?! "Try maybe $40,000,000." That just sounds crazy and ridiculous. Yeah, I love roller coasters as much as the next guy, but the park needs to add more flats and focus more on family.

They can focus on family fun without adding new flats. In fact, family entertainment has little to do with rides.

This is a side note, but with all the talk on costs, I wonder how much dragster has ended up costing CP in the past 2 years, with all the issues, new parts, and man hours trying to fix it.

I wasn't crying. My post simply said that Cedar Point has been doing really well without building record breaking coasters. I would rather not see 500 ft come for a long time. Like I said maybe 2010. Let technology advance some more. When I gave TTD 120 the money figure, I was telling him how much it would actually cost. I didn't say we need to spend that much for next year on the next coaster.

too. much

I also think we're getting the announcement on Sunday.

It just makes too much sense.

Closing the park...

Live podcast from Coasterbuzz...

IN FRONTIER TOWN...

Yeah, ladies and gentlemen. Sunday, October 30th, at Noon, at the Red Garter Saloon...the truth is out there!

Did anyone happen to notice what Hershey Park is putting in this year? If you haven't http://www.hersheypa.com/attractions/hersheypark/rides/reeses_xtreme/index.html

I think this is something that should come to CP. It looks very cool and would definitly be something unique.

And the most original name they could come up with is "Xtreme Reese's Challenge?"

How I loathe the fact that I can't come this Sunday. Although I think it'd be kind of odd to announce over a CoasterBuzz podcast, because then how are they gonna do it on the blog? "Popular enthusiast site CoasterBuzz, in a recent interview with blahblahblah.." and boom you get like a million more people to CB/PB who don't know near as much as elitist enthusiasts....

I'm not sure yet.

2008 - Games (Area 3/Scales)
2009 - Games Supervisor
2010 - Season pass holder.

I think the annoucement will ethier be friday or saturday not sunday. They dont do blog on cp on the weekend. FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY PLEASE!!!

Bring back Boblo!

I think Friday just sounds a little too soon, but you never know!

Thrills Around the Corner!

I know exactly what's going on. They are gonna put a flat ride in between Cedar Creek Mine Ride and Snake River Falls. That ride is gonna be a swing, like the Texas Twister at Geauga Lake. Then, in the space where they tear down White Water Landing, there will be a new coaster. Rumors have it, a flying one. But that won't be there til 2007. Hey, parts of the new swing are in the Soak City Parking lot.

Haha...haven't heard that one in awhile. Don't believe these so called rumors dude. We ALL know CP is getting a 500 footer. sheesh.

Would they announce the new ride for next season on the last day the park is open? The podcast are a fairly new medium so it seems like that could and use it to there advantage. Guess we'll just have to tune in and see what comes up. *** Edited 10/26/2005 10:43:29 PM UTC by FluffyliketheForce***

101 on Magnum and counting...

Maybe once the prices of season passes go up they will make the announcement. ;)

You don't really know what your talking about because GL doesnt have a Swing. Not even close. They have a Huss Top Spin, not a Scramin Swing
