"If not, we will keep it." ..... keeping it doesn't necessarily mean it will still be standing and operating.
2003 - Wicked Twister
2004 - Wicked Twister/Top Thrill Dragster
Does that mean also if Demon Drop Isn't sold that Cedar Fair would keep it? Thats my assuption, because Cedar Point may not be able to sell it so Cedar Fair will keep it and maybe give it to one of their sister parks.

I heard it would be relocated if not sold.......I swear they said that on the news...
The news also said that Gore won the 2000 election. Things don't always turn out how the media says that they will.
If it doesn't get sold they might store it up or relocate it because they might put a future ride where DD is now.
S & S Scream Swing maybe. A lot of stuff could go in there. Bathrooms, restaraunt, food stands, games, etc. I hope it is a new ride though but I doubt it considering the "area" just got a new ride. I can see the back of the park to be the new spot for a ride.
I think something nice and family-oriented should take DD's place. Maybe a potato sack slide (anyone else remember that one?) or some RC cars/boats (also another one I remember being fairly busy most of the time).
If the space is gonna be used for a ride, it should be something with strong family/kid appeal to it. Perhaps they could put in a killer dark ride of some sort over there!

I think they should bring back the Rotor. That would fit there with room for other stuff too.

If CP is getting a dark ride it should be like Men In Black at Universal Orlando where you shoot at aliens and other cars on the ride. If CP is getting a Screamin' Swing it shouldn't be extra charge. Can I have some pictures of a Screamin' Swing?
Kennywood Is getting a 32 seat model in 2006 with dual swinging arms, and it wont be an extra charge.
We could get the 40 seater and it wouldn't have to be extra charge because it would have around the same wait as maXair. They would be similar ridesalthough I still think maXair would be more popular. That would be cool if CP could put in a dark ride like MIB:AA but the line would be like a 5 hour weight. DD can be relocated to the back of the park or some other place if they don't sell it or it may go to a sister park or be put in storage or even worse, meltdown.

NO! Not meltdown!! No really...im anti-meltdown. I can't see it being relocated. That just doesn't make any sense to me. Why put and old ride some place else in the park and get nothing from it but shorter lines yet, when you can put in a new ride someplace else and get some draw to that paticular area. Look what maXair did for the Wicked Twister/Oceana midway. A screamin swing could be done in a western theme and placed in the back of the park since everyone wants to see something back there.
"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"
I think some of you people should get ready to laugh your asses off, because I have a strong feeling the next coaster will be 500 foot. I think they'll actually make the thing a full ride too! Well, at least I have hopes. I cannot see them being able to market another single hill ride within such a short period of time. That would really disappoint me. I would still like to see a wild mouse somewhere in the park. Those rides are cool and take up very little space. I like the variety.
Oh, we will be laughing. But not for the reasons you think.

There is one, its called wild-cat. And its much better than the cookie cutter wild-mouse rides.

I think a 500 foot coaster is on the way. More than just breaking 500 feet, I think their due to redeem themselves from all the problems that came with Dragster. Even at $25 million, Dragster seems like a prep for something even larger. I'm thinking something along the lines of a 500 foot Magnum compared to the speed accommodating design of Millennium Force. Maybe they'll even throw in an ending helix section similar to Goliath. I could definitely see some new cool elements in the mix.
On a personal note, I personally wouldn't mind seeing some more family-sized coasters in the park. With most of the other Cedar Fair parks having a mad mouse, I'm surprised Cedar Point didn't add one to their line-up. Not only is it a proven design. It's fun and gives a unique effect around the curves while staying within a relatively small footprint. Who knows.. Maybe this is why they're selling Demon Drop...
