Any news on Skyscraper?

I *saw* people riding it today.... It's on a short list of things I'll never do in my lifetime!

I can't wait to get back to the park just to ride it. I watched a video of it when it was at Valleyfair and it looks great. When I saw it last week and it was just half a blue pole it didn't exactly look thrilling.

For real? I'm going this weekend and was really hoping it would be open. Still nothing about it opening at cp.com though.

Actually, no one was really "test riding," per se, we were just training on how to strap people into the carriages. We did have it spinning full-speed for a little while, but it was empty and solely for training purposes, as well. Looks like an insane ride, though.

Ahhh, ok. I knew I *saw* a group of people, I think they were all in orange shirts, strapping into the seats at the bottom. There was nobody up top, I just figured they just hadn't loaded it yet. I was going up Magnum's hill when I saw all this take place, and by the time I got off and started walking toward Gemini, I could see it swinging full force through the trees.

I just saw on the funcam, skyscraper tilted at a side angle, if you look just past MF and on the right from ripcord. You can see the yellow through the trees, too. :)

Hmmmmm some guy closely resembling myself got to ride SkyScraper 3 times tonight. I also spotted groups of lifeguards and other employees test riding our ride all night tonight. Come check it out tomorrow ;-)

I was there tonight and there were rides people/employees on the ride. I was right under it and it looked like it was going to hit me! I wanted to really ride it, but now it doesn't look so fun now.

RaceRinger, so does that mean skyscraper will be open this weekend? I'm comin up to ride it if it is!!

Should be, but as usual with this ride, there are no guarantees.

Watching this ride test yesterday got me so exited to ride. It looks like a great thrill. I never realized it from pictures but it is tilted out some.

I can't wait to watch it from magnum's hill too! You can see what it's doing from there, I bet. I am glad you employees had fun on it. The thing is, i have had season passes for CP since 2002, but have never been in to challenge park in all that time. I knew about ripcord, but we have never made time to go out and ride it, or didn't have the money. But having ridden ripcord may 9th and building skyscraper really boosted my want for challenge park this year!

Skyscraper is now open! Just wanted to let you know that it's "official."

It opened today. I rode it around noon and it was the most amazing ride I think I've ever ridden. Fantastic. BTW it is BOGO w/the plat. pass.
