Nobody died from a flying tire, and there aren't no more tires there for it to fall off. It's open right now, so who cares if it broke down yesterday?

Why close it down? Why don't they just work on it and let people ride it if they can. Some people are better than nobody, but for the general public, they just need to act like Top Thrill Dragster doesn't exist or not open yet than expect it to be open if they are going to get that mad over it. Let it be good luck that somebody got to ride it while they are working out all of the glitches.

The Surf Lounge was where Hotel Breaker's Beaches 'n' Cream is now (by the rotunda pool).

Surf Lounge was your classic 70's style lounge with arctic air conditioning, lounge lizard music acts, cigarette smoke and somewhat stiff drinks. A great place! Before it was the Surf Lounge I believe it was called the Circus Bar. I've seen pictures, and that place had this strange barber shop pole stripped decor all over the place. A few drinks and it all must have blended together.

Pete, I couldn't have described it any better. The best part was that the atmosphere was so bad that only those who truly wanted to have a drink would show up. No ferns or old signs on the wall that seem to attract today's youth to a bar.

Yeah, I went once in '96 or '97 I think it was. 11:30 and the place was dead, maybe four other people in there. Strange because you can barely work your way in to get a beer at Friday's.

I've always wished they'd keep the beach side of Bubbles open late. That would be very cool.

Now, I'm new to the site and I have been reading all the posts and you sound like a pretty cool guy Jeff. But, bandwidth isn't expensive. And, if you are paying "the big bucks" and people are still getting ATTACKED by pop-up windows when they enter the site, then you need to pay the big bucks somewhere else. I run 5 websites, 3 that have operating web forums such as this. I pay just under $5 a month. Just a suggestion, but I truley LOVE the site. Thanks for keeping it open.

And your sites probably don't run on dedicated servers, dedicated T-1's, you don't own the hardware or routers or have to pay for a SQL Server license. CoasterBuzz alone passes 200 gigs of bandwidth a month.

Sure, I could go to any nameless webhosting company and run a small time site - but when you're pulling 200 gigs for one site and running a message board on another with a very large audience, you can't really use those $5 a pop deals. That's why its so expensive.

Yeah, and if I had to use MySQL I wouldn't have triggers or stored procedures.
