and then the crane showed up...

At this point if I’m CP I just throw in the towel on TTD and do what needs to be done to get the thing up and running 100% for next season. One would think they are hurting themselves more then helping right now. I cant imagine the number of pissed off people that show up to CP every day expecting to ride the worlds tallest, fastest rollercoaster and then find out it wont be opening that day. (Remember we are a very small group of people that follow the status of this ride on a daily basis. MOST of the general public has no clue that its down) I love the ride (5 laps) and I’d love to ride it again this year since I did buy a seasons pass, but I think CP should save some face and pull the plug until its IS 100%. By the way, that’s a lovely crane they have there digging around in the hydraulic building right now…. *sigh*

I knew it wouldn't last, you could tell my prediction was right if my post wasn't deleted by someone who is paid by Cedar Point to promote nothing but good and awsome things about the park! Like Dragster Reopening, but lets not talk about Dragster's tire falling off and almost injuring someone, let alone almost killing someone!
Dude, step away from the bad drugs. I am sure Jeff would LOVE to be paid by Cedar Point.

You need to take a big breath. All ya'll do.

My check is late this month. They must be pretty busy.

Someone was almost killed by flying objects? Care to back up that statement, or are you just slandering? That's some dangerous language you're using.

They are, pretty busy posting on their website, Dragster Open, No Closed, No Open, No Closed! Oh heck just come and spend your money, Gee I wonder why their attendance was done again for June! Better sell the stock!

Dragster merchandise selling off the shelf quicker than the 120mph launch, oh what launch Dragster is broken again!

If I owned a car that broke down as often, I wouldn't even give it to the junk yard, dump it in Lake Erie!!!!!

I didn't know telling the truth was slanderous! Having a tire fall off is very dangerous, that is why there isn't anymore themeing on the trains!
And probably get a big fine or even jail time for dumping your car in lake erie. I agree that most of the GP doesnt know about TTD being down. But then again, Some of the GP doesnt even know what TTD is called. (My cousin)

The way its been running lately, I wouldnt be surprised that they would shut it down atleast for a week or 2. Anyway, I'm hoping for the best, But preparing for the worst.

Lets face it, everyone here should agree that it is in Cedar Point's best option to close it! Why deal with all the problems, work them out!
Cedar Point was the "best amusement park in the world" and you heard very few complaints on this site prior to this year. Now it is suddenly an awful park and we should sell our stock?

Well, I am a unitholder and I couldn't be any happier with the performance I have been seeing with my "shares". Take away the problems with TTD and the park is running as well as ever. Certainly you aren't blaming Cedar Point Management on the bad weather?

People were bit**ing that there were no official updates so Cedar Point goes out and puts one on the website. Now people are bit**ing about that. You know what? Take your entertainment dollars somewhere else. It is that simple, isn't it?

Disney had all kinds of trouble with Test Track. Two years of delays as a matter of fact. I guess they could have just given up and dismantled the ride but they pressed ahead and got the bugs worked out. Now, it is one of my favorite Disney attractions and judging by the lines others feel the same way.

Just Coasting, as soon as you bring someone forward that was "nearly killed" by a falling tire I might take what you say in the future seriously. In the meantime...close your eyes.....what do you see? That is what I will be thinking about your posts.

Can anyone tell me why there are so many darn pop up ads, my gosh! The owner of this site must be a millionaire by now with all those pop up ads!

It is almost like an infection!

You know, I have had enough of this kiddie site, how does one get absolved from this site!
Click "Edit Account" at the top of the page and then click "Delete my Account".

Now your absolved.

OK normally I'm a patient guy, but I've had enough of this. If all you are going to do is come on this website and whine and complain and be a complete pain in everyones side, please don't. Just don't ever sign on or visit this site again, and leave it to people who want to take it seriously. I'm completely sick and tired of people who come in and say, "Top Thrill Dragster a piece of **** they should tear it down. TTD sucks CP sucks, Intamin sucks, and GTTP sucks." First of all the quality of GTTP depends on the quality of those posting here, namely ALL OF US INCLUDING YOU. If you are sick of the pop ups, there is a way you can pay GTTP so you won't have any, I forget the details, ask Jeff or look on the main page, I'm sure its on there. And please stop attacking one another, a little kindness goes a long way, and if someone new starts a topic that is covered elsewhere, be nice about telling them, don't just post the link and be like, here idiot, its already covered. Just say, hey, whoever, this was already covered in this thread, then post the link. Look, I'm not blindly defending Cedar Point or TTD here. I love CP and TTD, but I must admit that I am dissapointed about the downtime, and yes, it is taking away from the ride. But CP is doing all they can do to make it operational, and that is all any of us can ask for. So please stop with these kinds of posts, we are all sick of them. If you are going to talk bad about Cedar Point and TTD, thats ok, just do it in a civil and mature manner is all I'm asking, ok? Sorry Jeff, and other mods, but someone had to say this because it's getting out of hand.

Im with Liebevision, I am pretty sick of new topics everyday hearing bout people complaining that TTD is not open. WHO CARES! I bet were all kinda dissappointed that it is closed, but there is really nothing that can be done, and whatever is being done, im sure is getting done as soon as possible. Youre probably just mad that you planned a trip and it wasnt open. Well guess what, I live 4 hours away, went 2 weeks ago when it was closed, and it turned out to be one of the best days in my life. It's just a ride, get over it.

Hey.... Whatever
http://coasterplace.web1000.com

I agree with the previous two posters. This whining, complaining, and moaning HAS GOT TO STOP. For God's sake, it is JUST ONE RIDE. Yes, it's the tallest and fastest coaster in the world, but CP has fifteen other world class coasters for you all to enjoy! Would all this complaining come if TTD wasn't built this year? NO! Just pretend it is the 2K2 season all over again when TTD is closed, and the 2K3 season when TTD is open. I know I can't go back to CP this year, but I'm already having thoughts of going back next year. TTD should be more reliable next year. So stop this nonsense and enjoy Cedar Point's 15 other record breakers.
You know, if you just ignore him, he'll go away.

His ignorance and limited grasp of reality really don't warrant the time spent to flame him.

Without upstops, airtime would have a whole new meaning!

He already went away, unless the banhammer got him first.

It's not war, famine, or pestilence; it's only downtime.

Personnally, I think it's kinda funny. It's like my kids telling me,"If you don't make hot dogs, then I'm just not gonna eat!"

Then I say, "Good! That means more pork chops for me!"

But, they usually eat anyway. And these so called "whiners" will go to CP, anyway. They're just venting. Albeit, they could save some web space.

Well, when it's broken it is closed. They thought they fixed it, obviously something went wrong again. They are dealing with the problems. When it is fixed again, it'll open. I doubt very much that when it is fixed it'll just sit idle until next year. I can see them doing some extensive testing, or maybe a lot of work behind the scenes evaluating what needs to be done before actual work is performed. I can see it remaining closed for a longer time until the problems are worked out. But, if it is fixed before the end of the season, why would they let it sit idle?
