Also, with regard to the old Stadium site, that area is listed as Lakeside Midway, according to the Dining Plan Locations map.

Yes, the midway is called Lakeside Midway. I am going by the park map issued at the tollbooths this year. The coordinates state that this is now known as Lakeside Stage.

Anyone who thinks Celebrarion Plaza is tough to navigate through has never been to Disneyland and tried to walk down Main Street during the fireworks. Sure, Celebration Plaza gets tight (for all of about 50 yards), but it could easily take 15-20 minutes to get through Main Street if you’re unfortunate enough to need to get through there during showtime.

Just because one thing is super crappy, doesn't mean the other isn't still crappy also. I can think it's a poor setup without ever being to Disneyland.

You can, but I’ve never thought the setup is anywhere near as bad as a lot of people make it out to be.

I never thought it was bad, either. In fact, we made it up on Friday nights sometimes just to hang back and watch Luminosity before maybe grabbing a ride or 2. I would much rather have that stage off to the side, than blocking the train station.

The whole point of having a show in a location such as Celebration Plaza is because of the busy midway. Just like fireworks at any Disney park, they are typically in the middle of the park and along the most traveled midway that leads to the exit. The parades at Universal follow the main route that leads to the exit of the park as well so the most amount of people passing by will see the show. The only other perfect location at Cedar Point would have been if they had torn down Coasters and installed the stage there since it is basically the "center" of the park.

Do you guys not remember how awful it was to walk by the laser show while it was going on? It was even more narrow with that walkway up against Iron Dragon. That was truly a pain in the ass to navigate at the end of the night.

Based on the schedule, the latest show for Vertical Impact is 8pm. Fire and Ice has shows at 8:30pm and 10pm. It appears that the Celebration Plaza should be freed up around 8:30 and they are using Fire and Ice as the finale show near Wicked Twister. I definitely like this layout much better.
