I totally agree Walt. This is honestly the best message board/information site that I have found on the internet. At least as far as info for Cedar Point goes, and I honestly don't pay much attention to any other park. Not even my home park which is also a Cedar Fair property.

R.I.P. Mr Scott--I hope you find your lifthill to heaven.
First roller coaster ride was 1999. I had no clue what I was missing.

Off topic, but will there be a construciton journal with Monty Jasper on the Cedar Point web site? I know that they have done this in the past, but this time construciton started so early. I didn't want to start a new topic since there are so many already.
When I talked with Monty back in August during my trip, I asked him that question. His response was that once an announcement is made there will be a construction diary.
Then there were the people who, no matter what was thrown at them, (logic, common sense, etc) they just couldn't understand how the ride was not going to be leaving the current site and twisting over and under the other 68 rides.
Also, someone had to bring up the incredibly stupid theory of the ride going out, yes, over the bay/lake erie. Amazing how, with every new ride, that always gets mentioned.

^ My assumption is that it will be treated similar to the MF, WT, and TTD style entries from how he was explaining it.
Good.
Thanks for the info, guys.
Oh, my favorite things are those funnel cakes @ Cedar Point & the Dippin Dots.
"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
I found this quote from Mr.PKI over on the Coasterbuzz web site. I thought it was funny in retrospect.
Hmmm, I see no reason to believe that CP would be getting another Intamin. With TTD, MF, and WT what else is there for the park to get from the company? It also doesn't seem that they would get track delivery this early in the year either.
Hey guys, I just dug up this old post from the Point Buzz archives. Take a look:

Me thinketh this new contraption for 1907 shall be an acute example of this newfangled "Leap-The-Dips" design. Note thou the running track, perfectly arranged to accomodate Mr. Edison's Model T horseless carriages. Psycheth am I!FerrisWheel1896, you are a deranged bastard. I would offer you choice of pistols if I knew not thou would hideth behind thy mother's corset. As can plainly be seen, Project Ought-Seven can not be of the Leap-the-Dips variety, as the angles of descent are too pronounced and at more than twelve feet tall are far too vertiginous for any carriage, horseless or not. No, as I have repeateth these many instances, it will be soon revealed as the tallest "Shoot-the-Chutes" in the history of any garden or resort. I cannot abide the delay until the announcement!
