Well, the 3way is no longer advertised on the list. But, I can confirm that the 3way was still available at the Skyline in Coney Mall last Sunday.
I'm a huge fan of the season dining plan. For any regular Cedar Fair park guest, the complaint of high food prices should be a thing of the past.
Now that I'm eating Cedar Fair park food much more often, the oddest thing I'm noticing is how much the different parks vary in terms of selection and food quality. For example, the tortilla chips at Kings Dominion's Hank's were dyed bright fake colors, ridiculously salty, and simply the worst I've ever had. The tortilla chips at Kings Island's Hank's were more of a Mexican restaurant style, and very good. Both those chips were unlike the generic Tostito-like style I've experienced at parks like Cedar Point and Michigan's Adventure. You'd think there would be a universal supplier throughout the chain, but that's clearly not the case.
Cedar Point's dining plan food was generally limited, generic, and mediocre in 2014. I viewed CP's food as junk fuel, whereas I actually looked forward to eating at Kings Island. This year, it appears that CP is catching up by offering much more variety, and I'm happy to see some things I will look forward to eating. I'd love to see whoever is in charge of the Carowinds food come over to CP though. That was the best Cedar Fair food I've had yet. Simple things like serving sandwiches on a pretzel bun went a long way. Cedar Point needs an air-conditioned hub like Harmony Hall, where there was good food, lots of variety, and plenty of dining plan options within.
There's one thing that needs to be addressed with the dining plans though... I gave CP and KI a pass in the first couple weeks last year, because it was the first time the chain had dining plans. But, please train the employees how to redeem the dining plans over and over before the season starts. I've been to KI twice in the first weeks of the 2015 season, and both times the employees have been confused how to redeem the meals. I went to KI's guest relations to let them know, and they told me that they'd heard the same issue over and over, they were so sorry, and that they could confirm there were no issues with the dining plan being present on our cards. I personally don't think this was any kind of system issue, because I could see the employees were confused and just randomly hitting buttons, which required voids. These issues were resolved by the third week last year, but that's still unacceptable to me.
Also, while I appreciate new options being added to the dining plan beyond what's initially advertised, it's a little confusing as to what will be available on a particular visit (especially when some options are taken away). A little more consistency would be nice. Otherwise, I've been thrilled with the season dining plan overall and think it's a tremendous value.
I was at King's Island last Sunday, April 26th and was able to get a 3way and a coney with the dining plan.
I had the 3way/ Coney combo yesterday.
The cashier at the International Street Skyline was well versed on the dining plan, in fact before we started he reminded me that my drink was not included. The cashier at Rivertown LaRosa's didn't have a clue about any of it. I handed over my pass, told her it was season meal deal, she rang me up and asked for 15 bucks. She also accidentally kept my pass.
It may have been her first day, and that's fine, but if so it seemed like the training was lacking.
When I purchased the meal deal at guest relations she told me if I ran into trouble to have the restaurant call them and they'd straighten it out. So it seems like they're hip to the challenges. Small comfort.
I'm impressed with the Kings Island offerings for the dining plan. I think you have better options than the current CP offerings. I'm sitting in the Reds Hall of Fame Grille right now and it's a nice full service restaurant with several meal plan options. Hopefully Cedar Point continues to tweak their plan as the season opens.

The woman at Guest Relations explained to me basically there's dining plan meals available at most if not all brick and mortar food locations. Not so much at the walk up stands or at the carts.
I stopped and quickly scanned the menu at Subway and didn't see any dining plan symbols. Not that I would choose Subway at an amusement park anyway...
Yeah, I didn't think there was a Subway dining plan symbol at first either, but it was on the window (rather than the menu). I redeemed the dining plan at Coney Mall Subway (also not my top choice, but it was convenient with my vegetarian friend), and 4 different employees and managers couldn't figure out how to redeem for 20 minutes. Mind you, we were probably the first people there for the season on the preview night, but it was a little frustrating that they held us up so long for their lack of preparation.
We used the plan at Hanks Burrito Shack, Reds Hall of Fame Grille, Panda Express and LaRosa's Pizza this weekend at Kings Island and didnt have any issues. Our passes scanned fine and the staff handled it great. As I said earlier, I'm impressed with what Kings Island offered.

Ironically? If they put Subway on the dining plan I'd probably buy one. It would be awesome for those of us who try to eat healthy.
I'm not happy with the all season dining plan. It differs from the single day dining plan in that they removed the perch sandwich from the all season plan, but yet, it's on the single day plan? HUH???? My friend is going to be super upset with that one, because that was the reason he bought the season plan....I really don't understand why they didn't include that item on the all season plan...that's dumb.
yea, that was my problem too. Seems like what I liked last year is gone, the Perch was the best, and a good reason for the plan. The all you can eat bar was good, but only for like a month or so. I liked it cause I could eat healthy. there is NO salads or anything really other then a Cheese pizza if you are a vegetarian (I don't like to eat meat all day)
I got a plan, but this might be the last year for that, I am going to go back to bringing a cooler from now on.
So far, Carowinds has had the best choices of offerings so far this season between KI, KD and Carowinds. CP isn't looking that great.
Panda Express was a great and unexpected addition and Chick Fil'A as well although they still won't get my business..
CP needs to step it up!
The dining plan is going to evolve. I wouldn't be surprised at all that CP's plan isnt the same in July as it is now.

They evolved in the middle of last season, too. It's a formula that still needs tweaking.
If they're smart, they would allow people to use it as a 10 dollar discount anywhere they want once a day if you don't want one of the pre-selected meals. Then you're still paying more for the food that you do want.
They evolved last year, and it was a mistake that they had to rescind, messily I might add. They can add stuff later this year, but they can't exactly take away without another problem.
My point is, if you're going to tweak, tweak now when people are considering buying their season meal plans.
Hello, I am new here. Anyway, I am looking at getting my family the Platinum passes with dining. Is the dining and the Platinum passes valid during Halloweekends?
Yes they are!

Thank you, Alex! Spending about $2k for passes is making me want to get the most out of them. I just wish they had some type of discount on the Platinum 4+ pack like they do on the regular passes.
Believe me, the platinum pass is well worth the price! There are just soooo many different discounts that you can get, the dining plan is also really worth it, considering 1 meal averages $10-$15 or more. I don't think you will regret spending the extra money!
