They probably haven't moved the towers because their new locations are not ready. They actually aren't in the way too much right now, and there's not really anywhere else to put them.
Anyway why bother moving them to one location now, just to have to move them again later, with all the cost involved in doing so.

Well I would guess at least one of them might be used for Luminosity so it would need to be moved inline with the stage. The stage will need some kind of a booth for the show. Since the show is using pyro, and if they use enough of it, they could potentially place the other booth in the location where the pyro is fired from as a secondary control location.
99er - I think you're on the right track (no pun intended). My guess is that all 3 booths will be located directly across from the stage on the opposite side of the midway. It's the most logical and most effective location to run sound, lighting and effects. My guess it that they will be placed just east of the Wildcat queues and once the new concrete has cured, the booths will be moved. I gaurantee that they will not stay in their current location.

Why do they call it common sense, when it's so infrequently used?

The area the are tearing up to the left of the control towers seems pretty far away from the Luminocity stage area (maybe its prep work for part of the 2013 coaster!!!)
I agree. From the webcams, they're clearly digging up near Dodgem, and from the coastermania powerpoint, that's not part of the stage.
^Yeah, it seems everything with color on the blueprints will be part of Celebration Plaza. and you'll notice the planters (with the mature trees) in-front of the Good Time Theater are colored. One of the planters (the one closest to WildCat) will be combined with the land next to it to hide the new location of the control box and what appears to be a rear projector (it looks like it will be one of four, going by the blue prints). There is also a bunch of little squares drawn around the planters. Do they represent lights in the pavement? We'll just have to wait and see.
I think it will be interesting to see what kind of landscaping Celebration Plaza has.
You have to remember the infrastructure that is necessary for a show like this will take a lot of ground work. A show this size is not going to be 100% wireless, so you will need to dig up a lot of ground. Plus if I remember right, there are transformer/power equipment beside Goodtime and near the front of the theater.
I would imagine maybe they would add brick to the Main midway over by Raptor. I think that would be neat! Also Kevin, I don't know about the blueprints but I'll look later for you. As far as the video they showed, they made Millennium Force look flat in some spots, but other than that, Luminosity looks really cool!
The one thing to remember about brick pavers is how they're set. When you submit them to heavy loads, like from a vehicle or come kind of construction equipment, they tend to sink and shift in the sand they're placed in. That causes water to pool up during rain as well as the possibility of cracking them. I believe there's other reasons but it's mainly related to their maintenance. So basically they have to be careful where they put them and how much of the midway they cover. An example would be the pavers in front of the Coliseum and how the midway on the opposite side of it is still concrete.
