Has there been any word on the removal of the control towers on the Iron Dragon midway? (Yes - I am too lazy to scroll through 17 pages to find out myself.) Looking at the webcam they now really stand out as an eyesore.
A caption to a photo on the recent Sandusky Register article mentioned that one of the projectors was being moved for the show. Whether this means one of the booths or just the projector remains to be seen.
"Thank the Phoenicians!"
Looking at the webcams now they have a man lift and a bunch of trucks around the booth, so they might be starting removel right now... heres hopeing. Just as long as they find a new perch for the Overloard at Halloweekends!
Just an update- The catwalk between the two control booths is dismantled so looks like it is offically comeing down!

Ahh can't wait to see those gone. I can't believe that Millenium Force view of the hill and last overbank has been covered for so long...it's iconic, and it seems MF was contructed perfectly centered for that midway view.
Millenium's paint is looking so great, but poor TTD. Hopefully that gets some love for its 10th birthday.
The first of the control towers is coming down. Looks like they're taking them down in solid pieces. Wonder if they are planning to use them somehow for Luminosity?

How is it iconic? The screen was there before Millennium Force. We've never seen this view before.

It looks like they put the control booth back on, but cut the beams shorter, its only 3 feet off the ground in the same location.. weird.
GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.
