2008 Application Question(s)

Thanks! But if I apply now for another position will it interfere with me getting a position in Live E? Like will it cancel out my audition?

It probably won't interfere or cancel out your audition as you mentioned, but managers will not be happy if they hire you, and then you drop the position for Live E!. This, of course, is based on the fact that you would more than likely be hired in another department before you'd hear back from Live E! one way or another.

Good point. Thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate it!

Not a problem, and good luck with your Live E! audition!

Ha, the minidisc DJ!

Nothing bad about them. I use MD's everyday for recording demos. (Actually the new HiMD which records 1h20m of uncompressed PCM).

As for the transportation, bring a reliable beater.

If I apply to CP I hope I get the crowds in the MF line moving about like this :)

Bring a DJM-800, laptop with Ableton Live and Traktor Scratch and then 2 CDJ-800 or CDJ-1000's and get Cedar Point rockin this summer. I want nothing more than to make people want to enjoy their experience at Cedar Point.

Except that you have to use their equipment and their versions of the songs that are available (they've been carefully selected and edited for all audiences ;) ). It's not quite up to free will as much as you're anticipating it is.

Techno doesn't need words :)
Plus...techno is very millenniumish if you ask me. Nothing can be worse than the same loop you guys hear in the loading station that turns you into a trance like zombie.

Funny thing is, when the DJ is not in the booth there is a loop of songs that play over the speakers in the queue, and there are several dance/techno tunes in the loop.

I'd let that loop play and kick up the creativity if I could :)

Last summer I heard CP play all kinds of rock songs with lyrics that are in my opinion sometimes suggestive of negative behavior.
