2008 Application Question(s)

I don't even think you have to answer that question, it's not in bold. I'm 99% sure it means every day.

It's kinda a stupid question considering they are supposed to provide you with transportation. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just leave it blank, put yes or no, it doesn't matter.

Thanks

I guess I would answer yes. Just know that if relying in the bus, and the bus is late, that's not an excuse for being late to work.

And most of the time the buses DO NOT run on time, so always try to take the earlier bus than you think you need.

Or be like me, i'll have my car there so i'll just drive up to the park.

I've never had a problem with the bus not coming on time. But I did have problems with the buses getting full :( So yeah leave earlier anyway. However I do recommend anyone to have a car.

Better still, ride in with someone on your crew who has a car. Save gas and time!

Im thinking about comming back, not quite sure yet. Since I am a returning employee I received an e-mail for a special request. If I put a ride on there are my chances pretty good at getting on that ride? How did you fill out your special request form? did you e-mail it or just mail it? Do we really have to fill that out or can we just request a ride when they call for an interveiw?

The form was to get an idea of who was coming back and give them first dibs at their requests, and get an idea of what their contracts would be like prior to getting all their first years. I wouldn't really worry about it too much now. Might as well just wait until they call. If you do fill it out, you should e-mail it to them. The e-mail you should send it to is at the top of the form.

I figured it was probably too late to send it. Are they pretty good at getting the returning employees to the rides they want? I reall want to work on Top Thrill Dragster. I still dont even know if I will be returning. It is a hard decision, I think.

Seems like the longer you wait to decide, the odds go down on getting the ride you want to work on.

^That and the time you decide to start working. When I started on June 14 last season, most rides had enough staff already. From what I heard, the park doesn't have enough people in May.

Can I apply if I only want to work the DJ booths? I like to play progressive uplifting trance and techno

You have to contact Live E and audition. Maybe this will help:

Do they still have people working those DJ booths. If it's the ones in the rides lines that he is talking about. I think CP got rid of those positions. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Raptor uses the DJ booth on weekends, and Millennium still uses its booth every day.

I seen the DJ booth at Millennium Force used once and I have to say it would be great to say you have a couple hundred hours of mixing in at a major amusement park.

Have fun playing with all those mini-discs... ;)

I auditioned for live entertainment, but I know that i want to work at Cedar Point no matter what. If I do not get that job I would like to be an ride host if possible. Should I submit my application for ride host now or should I wait to hear from live entertainment? I heard that I may not get a response until march and I figured that would diminish my chances of getting a job I like.

THANKS!

Chances are, even if you didn't apply until March, you could still get a job as a ride host. You might not necessarily get the position you want though, but that's not guaranteed even if you applied in January.

I would definitely say go for the Live E! position first though. You likely could pick up extra hours in rides with that position if you really wanted to.
