It was a great ride. Too bad the new owners are changing it in the name of making it more family friendly.

Really the only reason why its became a ****ty ride is because there wasn't enough money invested into the upkeep and mantinance of the building or special effects :( such a shame
just because something doesn't work properly doesn't make it ****
Well, even at its best the lift and 'big room' of DT were awfully cheesy. (And this comes from one of the more stalwart defenders of the ride around here.) But it certainly was a better overall experience in the first years after it opened.
The main problem is that at its core, DT is Avalanche Run. AR was never intended to be a dark ride. DT is the half-assed attempt at retrofitting AR to try to turn it into something it's not. That problem has never had a solution, and never will.
None of the above changes the fact that I still enjoy the ride and would be saddened to see it go.
