1 final re-theme idea for Disaster Transport.

The Chevy salesman would say, Holy Toledo thats a Great Idea, Let me call the Headquarters. He calls headquarters and they send a representative to see the great junk. The representative says oh my goodness I found the long lost Chevy Avalanche.

Take a look at Wet & Wild in Orlando's Disco H2O, or a few of their other themed "dark slides". Hey, I may have coined a new term - dibs on the intellectual property rights!

Anyway, that's a nice execution of the dance club theme.

Some more inexpensive dance club lights, a couple of speakers, a coat of paint and stick a new name on it - viola, a whole new ride for about the cost of a loaded Taurus SHO.

Just say no to trims

Those slides look fun! Too bad none are around here.

I think the people who want a Snoopy themed ride should grow up and also "grow a pair"...do you really want another damn ride themed after Snoopy??? It would be like when Disney decided to stick their characters into Its A Small world, sure Snoopy is the mascot of Cedar Point...but no more Snoopy rides!!!

^I believe that people were talking about a Snoopy/Peanuts dark ride, of which CP has none. The only rides themed to Peanuts are the Woodstock Express, Red Barron, Camp Bus, and all the rides at Planet Snoopy. Some of us would enjoy having a ride at CP that we could ride and enjoy the characters, or even have a dark ride period.

The thing will be bulldozed before any more money, other than maintenance, would be poured into it.

We should have a wrecking ball party! Maintenance would drive cranes with wrecking balls on them and take turns smashing into DT, one by one! We would remove the bobsled cars and sit in them out in the midway, with music, food, pop, games, and more. And since it's on the beach, we could go out on the beach and have fun there! Of course, you wouldn't be allowed to go too close to the ride, because there will be bits and chunks of metal flying around!! :)

Of the many coasters I've ridden over the years, I've never been on one that I hated so much I would want to see it torn down. Just sayin'.

My author website: mgrantroberts.com.

CP could save a lot of money if they just invite everyone from PB who hates DT to come with whatever tools they feel like bringing to tear it down. I'll sign a waiver.

I can bring my heavy rescue with the jaws of life to help tear it down. I could bring the whole department and have a training on how to demo a building with the tools. Sounds like a fun weekend.

Let's Get Weird.

Yeah lets demo DT,ive rode it once and its ok....but they could put something much better there. Not sure what but its cedar point, they could think of something...i mean who would of thought they would put maxair where it is...they did and i love it! and tearing down WWL which i really liked....but i love maverick way more! Out with the old and in with the new!

^ Are you suggesting that Kinzel should leave? ;)

4 summers of employment in ride operations does stuff to you.

I do work with my volunteer fire dept. I just think it would be fun to do on a weekend.

I think it be pretty cool if they themed DT like a rave, pretty much a bunch of strobe lights, blacklights, fog, lasers, and glow in the dark track/train lol

Something tells me that if Nights in White Satin was too "edgy" for a rock and roll theme park, a rave would never find a place at CP.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

If they turn DT into a rave then the selling of the lighted junk at the entrance would actually make sense! Also why not open up an orange juice concession stand? :)

^^lol a guy can dream. Maybe they could do the same thing, but without the rave thing. An indoor coaster with strobe lights, lasers, fog, gow in teh dark elements, and techno music could be themed in many different ways.

That Knights in White Satin ride was awesome. Not great for a hangover, but a really cool ride all-in-all. I hope that park sticks around, loads of potential.
