I have not! Mostly I think the more open feel of a bike coaster would be absolutely pants crap inducing at 400 feet.
Those things always seem like even more of a capacity nightmare without that rolling load/unload thing Hagrids has

Also don't forget, deconstruction of part of the structure starts next Monday.
Exciting times.

Lake Erie Lifestyles with a new video. Form for the new turn around being tighter and closer to the station platform than the new rectangle footer seems to confirm a switch track!
It still looks like they'll have to re-work the current station canopy somehow.
Not necessarily. Based on where that turnaround is going, the track could still pass in front of the primary canopy supports. They could just add on to the back of the station, and shift the platform rearward (away from the midway) from its old spot. And then have both the loading area and the launching area side-by-side under the canopy.

The most recent picture of the station backs up how I thought the station would be split. It seems to me that there will be a switch track somewhere in the ride. The video from Lake Erie Lifestyle shows two sections next to the launch track where there is currently construction.
I'm talking more about the height of it vs. height of back spike. That footer immediately south is pretty big leading me to think that the track is pretty tall there still and wouldn't have enough room to clear the overhang.
So... Tony just had a tweetup by the new logo that is painted on the midway. In the follow-up tweet he sent when he ran out of prizes he said "That's all for today! Polaris."
EDIT to add screenshot
I love that they have no issue filming with a smartphone while on Power Tower. Ignorance and stupidity at it’s finest.
Exactly, @SpeedDemon. That would feel absolutely insane.
mgou58 he stated in the last video that that video was taken by someone's pair of video glasses, for what it's worth.
I’m pretty sure the curve up the spike is going to occur over the station
^If that were true, why would they need footers all the way back in the Iron Dragon area? If it's curving up over the station, that's quite the curve.

Honestly that heavily leads me to believe it’s not the name. I was already in the camp that it wouldn’t be anyway. But. A. He wouldn’t give up the name the day they start to really tease. B. He KNOWS the thoosies have been bringing up Polaris for month and know the tizzy it will cause.
Polaris could be the name of one train car like they did with Steel Vengeance. Also, I initially thought the racing logo meant side by side racing, but Top Thrill Dragster was also racing theme and never side by side.

What if it's a big arse double up? I don't think it is but it's an interesting idea.

A triple down anywhere near those speeds would be absolutely bonkers. Sign me up!
Add motorcycle cars to it? Insanity!
Still haven't been able to uncross these circuits...

The Lake Erie lifestyles video said they got word something big is happening this weekend.
Also interesting is that there are two different grays used on the supports, the tower and spike are darker.
I’m fairly sure they just haven’t finished painting those.
I think they’re referring to the diagonal supports that come off the tower compared to the vertical support on the pull-up from the launch. Good catch!

Something interesting I was thinking about this morning as we continue to wait for official confirmation if it is indeed Zamperla taking over, they either had to modify the wheel bogey design of their new trains and conform their standard track width and rail specs for this one ride to match the tophat track specs, or by divine intervention (or good foresight) they were already working with the exact same measurements.
I'm not sure those supports are a different gray, just appear a little different based on the lighting/shading in that particular picture.

Nah, that's light reflecting off one and not so much the other. They're the same color.

I thought it might’ve been the lighting as well, but the other vertical supports on the pull out in the bottom left of the picture sure seem lighter than the tower supports that almost look black.

Its all the same shade of gray
That dark gray and yellow look really sharp - missed opportunity.

Eff that yellow. Good riddance.

These two are diff colors
Is there another picture that shows them as different colors? Because to me, the vertical support appears lighter from that picture's perspective because less of a shadow is cast on it compared to the diagonal support, both because of the different angle of the supports but also due to their diameter, with the larger diameter having a larger shaded area. At least that's what I see.
I have to say, I'm utterly whelmed that they're going with a racing theme. The dragster theme, to me, was ridiculous and a non-racing coaster having a racing theme isn't an improvement. But, whatever. At least the project is starting to pick up pace.
Brandon
Mock up I saw on Twitter. Yeah this looks way cooler than red and yellow imo.
I see what you're saying about the shadows. I agree about sticking with the racing theme, I just don't understand. It's such a niche interest.
Yeah, I'm confused about the racing clues. I figured they'd want to diverge from anything related to Dragster. And Tony tweeting POLARIS makes no sense, as Polaris is the North Star. So that hints at a possible Space theme.
Polaris was a trademarked name a while back (circa 2019 or 2020, I believe).
Tony is just poking some fun at enthusiasts who might have been paying close attention and coming up with theories (like me).
I will say this about the apparent theme and signs: Fury 325 had teasers with a Roman theme because CF had trademarked "Centurion". I just wonder if the racing stuff is a red herring again.

Given multiple teases have had Formula 1 vibes, I think it's worth noting that F1 has a global fanbase of over half a billion fans, and that's not even the most popular motorsport domestically. Motorsports are alive and well and there is validity in them sticking with the genre if they do end up deciding to do so.
You could just about say the same for the NFL or NBA globally and it would still be weird that Cedar Point, of all places, would theme a major, record-breaking roller coaster after them.
However, they had a chance to tie in a space theme for this specific area of the park, and it would seem they're not going to take it. That's a shame, really.
I think the point is that there's legs to creating correlation between a fast roller coaster and fast cars, and that motorsports aren't "niche." But yes, agreed, space/aviation are also completely valid. I just don't think it's outrageous for them to stick with a racing theme if they do.
Closed topic.
