I noticed the checkered flag after delivered. Who knows if it means anything....

Maybe lets all just take a little step back. See what the ride will even look like and then reserve some judgement.

I do have to say even with being skeptical of Zamperla. I can not begin to explain how excited I am if they use the new Zamperla trains. Like just looking at these I can only imagine the view cresting the hill in the second row with the staggered “stadium” seating.

Nothing has been proven outright. The rumor started last year and picked up speed when Zamperla announced their new trains, launching capabilities and that they are the ones behind the new coaster in Vancouver that is an Intamin hydraulic launch coaster Zamperla bought to convert to LSM. Then when Dragster track started to be shipped over to Italy, the rumors gained a little more legitimacy. And while the clues are leaning heavily to Zamperla, it's still all speculative.

This is a complete nonsense response, because what I said has nothing to do with a bunch of enthusiasts on the Internet. Many millions of guests happily rode the "lemon" that was TTD while plenty of others were unhappy because they couldn't ride it due to downtime. If TTD 2.0 is constantly down, will people be happy? Obviously they're not going to know or care who the manufacturer is, but CF will look foolish if their expensive "reimagination" project ends up being down as much or more than the original.

CF is a publicly traded company, and has a board of directors and investors to answer to. If their gamble on Zamperla ends up being a total flop, the fact that they went with an entirely unproven company to handle a flagship project will be an issue.

TTD 120mph:

The more and more I think about this the more and more I think this was an “investment”/“prototype” purchase by Zamperla to physically get their hands on a Hydraulic launch coaster ahead of time knowing they wanted to bid on the TTD project.

If their gamble on Zamperla ends up being a total flop, the fact that they went with an entirely unproven company to handle a flagship project will be an issue.

Innovate or die. Lots of bold decisions were made by taking a chance. Arrow hadn't bent steel to form tubular track until they did with the Disneyland Matterhorn. I rode it last summer.

Zamperla is not an unproven company. They've been around since 1966.

If this is true. Prior to the incident was Cedar Point accepting bids for redesigns to see if there is something worth upgrading/overhauling rather than ripping out?

If so that would imply that the accident may have just accelerated this timeline?

DJ, I would think so. I wouldn't think a project of this scale is planned, finalized, and set into motion in a year time span (time of accident to the announcement of a "reimagination"). Dragster may well have remained open through 2022 summer operations if the circumstances were different.

I think it’s quite clear. Mr. Theme Park Predictions has proclaimed through tear-filled eyes that Intamin didn’t get the job and Zamperla is indeed in charge of the project. He also stated that he’s coming to terms with it and is learning to cope.
Nuff said.

It is so hard to listen to that guy talk. The YouTubers that make these videos crack me up. But don’t forget to buy some merch that looks like it was made on their mom’s Cricut.

My feelings are neutral regarding this project. Just because the new track arriving MAY be Zamperla track, does that necessarily mean Zamperla will be the one in charge of the ride system’s controls and the launch? Could they just be manufacturing new track and CP has hired an outside source for the rest? Either way, I hope this ride comes out on top and reliable. I also hope testing begins early early to ensure better reliability. At the end of the day, whether it is one company or another, before the internet, did anybody really know (and most importantly care) about the difference between these manufacturers anyway?

I thought the TPP guy was like 12, until he showed his face, I honestly can't listen to his videos. He just steals video and pictures from other people, says "Oh I have a source" and pushes his ugly tees.
