The only thing that leads me to believe it might be primer instead of paint is a tiny detail in one of the pics earlier. They randomly left this one support/attachment inside the track red when every other part and the next support/attachment spindle is white. I was thinking potentially to denote where the candy cane is going red to white when the paint over primer?

I too thought it was weird they kept that little bit as red. Why not paint it at the same time? Now they have to bring back the JLG to paint that. Odd.

It's a possibility that they didn't paint that specific section if there was any noticed issue with that area during their progress, such as additional corrosion or rust that needs to be taken care of prior to painting.

In terms of needing to "bring back the JLG," they aren't anywhere close to finished at this point, the lifts will remain regardless.

But it could be several feet away already!

I know - it is just inefficient. It is stuff like that that drives me nuts when I am at a construction site.

But you are probably right CoasterLine - they likely found an issue that needs resolved first.

Might be inefficient in theory, but if there was anything that was found that required sanding, grinding or additional welding, it can't be done while there is wet or soft paint around it.

If it's anything like the previous painting, they are using a poly blend paint which means they would need it to be at least surface cured before they could do any work around it. Surface cure would be 24-48 hours, full cure is 30 days, typically.

That red spot is the exact spot the coaster spit out deadly metal in 2021. The construction workers painted it white, confirmed by YouTube. But, the coaster has a mind of its own and regenerated the red spot. It is evil/haunted. New name Redrum confirmed.

Did my post get deleted? Weird...

I watched a recent YouTube vid and they showed a new potential footer. Is this the same new footer? As in, just a weird angle or is this an entirely new one? It looks massive.

Actually guys I do think this is a new footer.

I looked at other images and the 3 footers that were installed are all raised and cylindrical.

They are also further back than this one, this is infront of that dip on Iron Dragon while the other ones are further back.

It's not part of the triangularly-arranged footers, but it's not a new footer. It was there prior to the park opening for the season.

Yeah, that footer has been there since they put in the 3 cylindrical ones. It’s in line with the direction the 3 are pointing.

Nah. It's literally the footer that was poured as the triangle footer in the water was finishing up, as seen here with the two giant orange arrows pointing at the footer you are questioning. Start at 01:10

I wonder if they went with white so they don’t have to repaint as often since white won’t fade as fast.

I'm thinking the same thing, the fading won't be as noticeable with white. The white track is really growing on me, it's different. If it's the final color scheme.

Six Flags has relied on white for a few of their steel coasters over the years. They look pretty good. If fading isn’t their trouble spot then rust might be.

Ferrari world in Abu Dhabi has the white track game down (not by choice). They look pretty cool, minus the hydraulic fluid goop.

And just the opposite for wooden coasters. I grew up with the notion that all wooden roller coasters were white because, well, they were. Just as they should be. Then in 1964 we drove into Cedar Point and there was their brand new 90 foot tall ride in a natural brown color and left completely unpainted. My 4th grade self was simply scandalized and I couldn’t believe they would allow such a monstrosity to exist. It just wasn’t right. A few years later they finally painted the ride- and not a nice glossy white, but the light blue that we know and love today. And many of the older white coasters finally faded into a more natural state, and it was determined that there were better ways to preserve and treat the wood.

So with the confirmation that this is paint, I wonder where the red indicated by the keychain will show up.

Red trains?

Wouldn’t we usually be starting to get hints of some kind by this point in the summer for a huge project like this? Any chance they emulate the original marketing for TTD and let the construction do the talking until way later than usual?
