Anyone at the park today?

If anyone's at the park today, would love to hear how the crowds are considering that it hasnt been as busy the last few weeks.

Based on the parking lot at 1:30 it looks like it is going to be a very busy day.

how's the park today ?

I was at the park today from 4:30 until close. It was rough! MF, Maverick, and SV were closed most of that time due to maintenance. With TTD and WT also closed, not to mention maXair and (for wind) Windseeker, the park felt a lot smaller than normal.

The park felt really crowded on the midways, but the lines generally weren’t too bad, despite the closures. The worst was Valravn’s line, especially at the end of the night, when I and everyone else realized that was the biggest ride left open. I got a fun ride in the front row, left outer seat, though!

Went today Thursday for early entry. Only my 2nd time to CP this season. Went to Valravn, down for maintenance, oh well. Went to MF, Valravn started testing when I went into MF. Did 2 rides, the 2nd was a 're-ride'. Took a very short break and did MF again. Headed to the back to Maverick, saw it was operating while riding MF. Got there and Mav went down, another 'oh well'. The high humidity from the rain was getting to me so headed back to the front of the park and did Valravn. Left for home at 7:30. Only disappointment was Maverick down when I went to it. A friend that also went texted me that all the 'majors' were walk-ons later. Even as I was walking back to the front of park, there didn't seem to be much of a crowd.

Yes, it was a perfect night. Light crowds, and from what I had seen, all of the big rides were running. Got on Steel Vengeance in less than half an hour, and made friends (while waiting) with people who had never rode it before. They were a group of 3 and asked me to be their 4th. So that was neat to actually ride with first-time riders and see their reactions real-time. Spoiler: It’s their all-time favorite ride now.

Webcam shows a busy park today.

Anyone going tomorrow?

Promoter of fog.

^^ Glad I went last night. It was pleasant and not too crowded. I knew better from past experience. Saturdays + Halloweekends = a no go for me. Ridiculously crowded today looking at the webcams. Parking is full all the way back to the entrance booths including the overflow Marina parking area. The area designated as "73E". LMAO. Check out the double line at Auntie Anne's pretzel stand (next to Scrambler) snaking into the middle of the midway. No thanks.

"Count me in" also! We are planning on being in the park on Sunday.

I’m surprised the park is so slammed today given the cloudy/windy/potentially rainy weather. I hate to think what will happen the next two Saturdays if the generally nice weather forecast holds true…

^^^ It seems weather doesn't impact crowds as much as it used to. I recall reading on here that the park was still packed on summer days when it rained a good portion of the day. That may be due to Gold Pass and majority of people didn't pay full single day admission to get in.

But I also recall even before Gold Pass days like maybe 2 or 3 years ago reading on here and other places that the park was packed during Halloweekends and it was SNOWING. But then again, maybe the majority of guests go for the haunts and those go on regardless of weather conditions. Compared to going to a local haunted house, going to CP may seem like a bargain where you get many haunt attractions plus rides. Another reason why pricing may need to be adjusted. This is the main reason I dislike Haunt season, it's just way too crowded.

I'm here today. I can confirm that even Rougarou had a long line today. It was probably an hour wait earlier today. Then as the night went on, frontier trail was packed like sheep. My sister told me that cars were parked in the grass today. I bet Cedar Point is loving this today! $$

Yes busy day yesterday. Going again today.

Based on the webcams, it looks like another very crowded day at the Point.

It seems like the expanded October hours have been successful, at least so far.

Thrills Around the Corner!

We were there Friday and Saturday. Friday was kind of rainy, but not too bad. Light crowd. Yesterday we got there for early entry and the crowds were very manageable early, but it got busy as the night went on. We were there mostly to hit the Tricks and Treats Halloween stuff with my son (we didn't even try to do any coasters). Frontier Trail was JAMMED with people - it looked like the line for Cornstalkers ran almost to the Wave Swinger, and the line for the Freakshow ran to around Antique Cars. We left the park around 10 to beat the traffic. All in all, we had a great time despite the crowds - if we would have been there just to ride coasters, it probably would have been a bust.

Webcam, today Saturday, shows absolutely full lot and overflow lot.

The park’s Tweet confirms it: Parking is full!

Honestly, I’m surprised it took this long for the park to have a day like this, given the intense demand we saw all summer. (It probably doesn’t help that tomorrow’s weather forecast is currently pretty bleak.)
