Rude Enthusiasts

Electric cars were pretty popular in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Yep, it wouldn't feel the same as what we are used to, but it could easily be made period correct for theming.

Back on topic. Ron,mentioned many times in this thread, had bandages on his face today, last 2017 day. Was told he was running/rushing in TTD,between the ride entrance and the ramp and tripped on one of the grates. Was told that has also happened before.

Looks like ttd isnt the only thing going down on a regular basis.

I do believe he's done something like that before (I've seen him in bandages a few other times). You would think that someone would learn a lesson after doing that more than once.......but some people just don't learn. It's either that or someone was not having any of his shenanigans and threw him some "love taps" to the face. Heck, I sure would have if he continued talking to me the way he did the last 5 minutes of Dragsters 2017 operation. I've never seen someone get soooo irate with people for not filling rows. He was yelling at me and my group to fill the empty rows so he could get last train. I just threw him a thumbs up and ignored him.

And everyone got on the last train anyway, so it was ultimately pointless to get as upset as he did.

I remember being on like the 2nd to last cycle once and as we got off I remember watching him try pushing past the other "dead weight" waiting at the exit.

Maverick since '99

Yesterdays' last train of 2017,Bob and I got the front seat,Ron got 2nd seat. He was mouthing off about how he could have gotten the front seat, but he would have to have pushed past me to get it.

There were times walking from ride entrance to ramp where he tried to run past me,I always blocked him.

As my group and I walked into the line at 8:06, we decided to wait behind the vending machines and sneak behind him just to see how peeved he would get. He was indeed mad and I giggled the entire way to the station. But when we got to the ramp, he waited at the turn until we got past him. So I stopped right at the turnstiles for 30 seconds just to peeve him off even more.

Some may consider it a jerk move but I find it funny to see what buttons I can push to get him mad. >:)

^Worth it.

I just feel bad for the crew the most. They have to put up with that crap how many times a week / season? Like I get most enthusiasts and most are actually rather enjoyable to work with. Him...not so much.

Wow. What's wrong with these people? Thought I saw his "super charged" Mustang in the CPS preferred lot this past weekend. Is it red?

No,it's dark green. An Ecoboost turbocharged 4 cyl.

Ha! The 'last train of the season' drama is still a thing.

Ron is too rude. I would've had some words for him if he continued to complain like a baby about not getting front row. He'll survive

So with all this negative talk about enthusiast Ron - I've probably crossed his path but never realized it because I still don't know what he looks like - I'm going to assume that even as an enthusiast, that he is not a member of PointBuzz?

Proud to have fathered a second generation coaster enthusiast destined to keep me young at heart and riding coasters with a willing partner into my golden years!

You guys are gonna love this. I always see his car when walking back and forth between the RV resort and the entrance to the park. He's got his wooden cutout "TTD RON" sitting on the windshield as well as a home-made "certificate" with his name on it and how many rides he has always taped in the window depending which direction the vehicle is facing, sometimes on the windshield or side windows.

Yesterday around 2pm I noticed his mustang had a flat front passenger side tire. Talk about karma happening to the right person. He's such a tool... nobody deserved that flat tire more than him.

Side note, I noticed the valve stem cap was missing from the flat tire but was present on all the other tires... so I'm thinking someone let the air out of it.

I left the resort entrance of the park and walked past his car at about 8:30pm yesterday and he was nowhere to be found.

Someone texted me a pic of his tire a little after 2 and I had a good chuckle. And when I heard the claim that his injuries were from falling, I recall my reply being "Did he fall onto a ground of fists?"

Karma indeed......

You do now.

Thanks for posting that pic. Now I know who to look for. Although I believe I have seen him a couple of times.

Karma was when he tripped and broke his nose in the morning. All though he didn't learn as I watched him running around the ride again later in the day. There is a reason CP has a no running rule I can't wait until it starts to be enforced and people like Ron end up getting banned from the park.

As an employee the enthusiasts really aren't too annoying throughout the season. In fact most of us enjoy your enthusiasm as we too also love our rides and everything about them. That being said that last train of the night when you idiots wouldn't get in the damn train was the most frustrating thing in the world. If you had waited about 30 more seconds to get in we would have sent the last train without you all in it.

Apparently there is a fine line between enthusiasm and childish obsession.
