Is this the first traditional lift hill hyper with a vertical drop? I know you have the dive coasters with the holding break, the launched coasters, and whatever X2 is, but of the normal lapbar, chain lift, regular release coasters over 200 feet, is this the first at 90 degrees?

It sort of rolls right off the tongue, doesn't it?

The name Steel Vengeance Doesn't match with the Frontier Town theming. The name would be more suitable for a steel coaster on the the main midway of the park. I sent an e-mail to Tony Clark back in late January suggesting renaming the coaster The Rebel Outlaw. That name would have been pretty cool. But I must say looking and the video, It's going to be an awesome ride.

Then would Ohioans call the ride The The Rebel Outlaw?

Anyway, it seems to have not worked out for you. Sorry.

Her name is actually Chess "Wild One" Watkins. Get it right, man.

The 3 characters they have created as part of the ride's theme will help a lot I think to add to the Frontier Town feel. They should definitely use them in that super long stretch of straight queue leading to the station.

I don't think they should market the highest 90 degree drop like that but that type of drop has the best air. It should be amazing.

^^^^Well, it's a good thing they didn't name it "The Rebel Outlaw". After the events of Charlottesville they are removing everything rebel related around the country such as statues & high school mascots.

Karnan in Germany (a Gerstlauer infinity coaster) has a 220 foot (219.8 foot to be specific) vertical drop, although the drop has somewhat of a twist on it and is also indoors (the lift and drop are contained in a tower. )

SPOILER ALERT:
Karnan also has a vertical lift which drops you partway back down as you climb to scare the crap out of you, along with a "secret" heartline roll after the main brakes (the only inversion on the ride.)

Wasn't that the Schwabinchen ride? 😀

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

No offense, but the name "The Rebel Outlaw" is honestly one of the worst names for a coaster I've ever heard.

I suggested Showdown. It fits the story, is simple, short and easy to pronounce. I guess I can stop sending them my 500 foot space shuttle themed B&M Godspeed idea.
