Where will the next big ride go

No this is not a thread on lack of space but just asking the CP regulars where a new ride might go. I have heard possibly in front by DT or where the dolphin stadium is and in the back by MS. What is your educated guess

How about on that 300+ acre peninsula on Lake Erie? I'll bet they put the next big ride (coaster like) there. ;) Sorry, have to be a smart aleck once in awhile.

Since everyone already took my sarcastic answers... ;)
I think the next major ride would be placed near the rear of the park as someone above had mentioned. It would attract more people to that end of the park, cutting the rush to Millennium Force down a bit. But then again, any new ride placed in any other area of the park would do the same.

Why not starting at DT and stretching into the parking lot!

...because that's something Six Flags and Paramount parks would do. For the maximum thrill factor, coasters need to stay INside the park and not meander over into the parking lot. :)

Well, the NEXT big ride is going in Challenge Park, but hopefully there will be another big ride installed in the park...here's hoping.

Underwater!

It's OK if it cuts through the lot, just as long as its not placed over an empty square of land in any old position, (*cough X-Flight*) like you can do with RCT saved designed. The foremost rule of any piece of architecture is it cannot ignore the site. Magnum while cutting through dose not ignore the site, which is the lake! Magnum just would not be the same if you plopped it in the middle of a field . A CCI right on the lake with a dogleg turn into the parking lot right before Dicks house would be fine by me.

Say good bye to the Swan Boats and the Swings, add in the space from the boneyard, hello TA2K!!! There is a good chunk of land there though.

I have to agree with Craig. If we are in fact getting a TA2K, an ideal spot would be the Wave Swinger/Swan Boat area in conjunction with the new boneyard to the left (while riding) of MF's Magnum-hill. The launch area could be in the current wave swinger spot with the first vertical ascent/descent hill crossing the midway. The layout could then carry on into the strip along the lagoon with several more hills and turns. On its way back it could cross the midway again with a good size parabolic airtime hill. The station and queue lines could be in the current location of the Swan Boats.

Just me dreaming out loud...

Disney just spent a small fortune converting a parking lot into a new theme park and building a multi-level parking structure. CP could conceivably do the same if they were pressed.

Lately I've been thinking about them adding a coaster (likely a TA2K) along the right side of the lagoon. If you look to your left on the second lift hill of Mine Ride, you will see what I am talking about. There is a very long empty stretch of water that would be perfect. It would go by Mine Ride, the second island turn of MF, and Iron Dragon. The are only two things in the way of building a good coaster there. One is Chaos, which could conveniently be relocated to the Oceana Midway, perhaps for the rumored boardwalk project. The other is Paddlewheel Excursions, which runs right along that empty stretch of water...

I doubt CP would take the swings out. There is always a line and provides a breeze.
If they start heading into the parking lot w/ a new ride, whats not to say other things will follow in that direction?!
