The Force at night is AWESOME... just DON'T sit in the front seat! (BUGS!!!)

Mantis is nice at night, too.

Magnum! To me, it's a lot better ride at night. It seems smoother, faster, and just one heckuva ride! Nothing beats getting yanked over the second hill and feeling like you're going to be thrown into the black, quiet lake.

All alone in the turnaround is great. Then run into a pitch black hole while floating over your seat and flying out of the tunnel to feel the strong, cold, lake wind in your face. After all that you get ejected out of your seat on the bunny hops.

So, my pick goes or Magnum!

Power Tower is amazing at night. One of my best park experiences ever(not just at CP). *** This post was edited by RaptorFlyer on 6/26/2001. ***

No contest. Magnum is the best at night. The feeling of seclution, the view of the lake are the best.

It's too bad there isn't a select few days where the park is open until 3:00AM! Imagine all the night rides you could get in. However, I know it will never happen. Profit to operation costs would be horrible. Oh well. It's nice to dream.

No, but I figure Halloweekends will give good PM ride time. It gets dark sooner, and the park is open until midnight Friday and Saturday. I'll be closing the park both nights October 5 and 6. Got my confirmation from CP Resorts in the mail today - Lake View Suite at Breakers:)

I think MF is the best to go on at night out of all rides that I've been on.

Magnum, on a clear summer night... cresting the first hill, with the stars above and Lake Erie before you...

...sheer perfection.

As much as I love Millennium Force, I have to say that Maverick is slightly a little more fun at night then Millennium Force. I think It's Awesome riding at dusk, but the night time is a lot of fun to, because It just feels like your riding in just complete darkness.

My favorite rides to ride at night in order:

1.) Millennium Force

2.) Dragster

3.) Maverick

I have not tried all of the rides at night, but I have done several and these are how I rank three of them.

Yeah I think all the rides are better at night. Top 3 rides for me are Magnum,MF,and Raptor.

Magnum because it's so dark and creepy along the lake making a fun ride.

MF just because it's MF lol

And Raptor because when I go,normally after 8pm it's a walk on. One time it was only myself,my wife, and a fun single rider. Nobody else on the while train. And I have to say it was the best ride I ever had on Raptor.

But overall I think all of the rides are amazing at night.

I like Millennium at night so much because it is amazing to be going up the hill right next to the water with no light outside. It is unbelievable. Millennium is also the absolute first ride that I go on when I get to the park, without fail.

The CP&LE before everything was built around it. Along the bay was totally dark until you got to Thunder Canyon and then the crossing at White Water Landing. Then coming back you only had the animation lights and Mine Ride was the only ride close to the tracks. There were also more fuller trees back then too.

If the question is "Best Ride" - I go with Windseeker - 300 feet and a 360 degree view of CP/Sandusky/Lake Erie/the nearby islands.

If the question is "Best Coaster" - I'd go with Magnum for the same reasons noggin/zdabulls23 listed above. I love MF anytime, but every time I have ridden after dark - BUGS have made it somewhat less enjoyable. I have not had the same issue on Windseeker or Magnum - I'm not sure why.

Why resurrect a 14-year-old thread? Is the off-season that boring?

No, I just thought it would be stupid to make a new topic when one already exists where I wanted to ask the same question. Seems like a waste of server space and more clutter to start a new one.

My favorite at night? Raptor by a close shot. The twists, the turns, the weird feeling you get as you crank up the hill; it's all so eerie yet epic under the dark sky. My second pick is Magnum; it's so quiet and creepy out there on the beach. Millenium Force and Mantis (Rougarou) and Iron Dragon are also contenders, since they're in the woods and are pretty dimly lit. Also I forgot to mention, Mean Streak and TTD are pretty fun at night when they're running.
