Did someone say tunnels? Ravine Flyer 2 - especially at night!

I like Millennium's tunnels the most. I like Magnums's, but not nearly as much as Millennium's. The scream of the train as it blows through the tunnel is unprecedented.

Don't forget about the king of tunnels, including many above ground, The Beast at Kings Island.

I haven't been on the ride in at least 5 years but the last time I was there was so much wood missing from the tunnel, and so many cracks between the wood that it really didn't give you that feel of being in a tunnel. There was a lot of light coming in.

Am I the only one who doesn't find going through a tunnel or going underground that exciting? The Voyage is the only coaster I have been on that actually had some pretty cool tunnel elements but for the most part I don't see them as a wow factor. If the park actually did build a dive coaster, Id rather see them try something new at the bottom of the first drop instead of a tunnel.

I don't mind the tunnels CP already has but underground holds no interest for me. Maybe because I'm claustraphobic, maybe because I've been in the park during large storms when the midway floods. If the midway which is above ground can't empty itself quickly enough during a downpour how is an underground tunnel going to do any better?

Do you really think they would engineer a tunnel that floods and then send trains through?

I really would like to see a splash down element.

Here is a more revised idea.

I like this Thabto. The only change I would make would be to park the dark ride where you put your coaster at. In my opinion, I feel like there would be more room for the coaster on the other side.

Plus having a coaster soaring over the midway intersection there would be awesome. Far more exciting than what Corkscrew currently offers, for sure.

They both take up about the same amount of space, so you could swap them. I did make a slight revision though where I put a midway that goes behind Celebration Plaza, because if they enclose that area with a fence or walls, you would have to backtrack a little if you wanted to go from TTD to MF, Red Garter or Toot Sweets. You would have to go down to the marina gate path, so I made a path that goes in between the green and yellow on the map.

No. I'm just saying that's one more issue that would have to be dealt with which means more money just to make an underground tunnel and the wow factor may not be worth it when compared to what else that extra money could buy.

I see one building in each of those maps that I think we are forgetting about and that is HR. It has a very small footprint and could be moved just about anywhere. Why not align the road on the other side of it and use the existing entrance to that parking lot and the isle closest to the water? This would allow for several more acres to be developed.

How about if they just build a dark ride/dive machine hybrid? ;)

A dark ride with a height requirement of 52" completely misses the point of what a dark ride is supposed to offer.

...On the other hand, the only two types from B&M that they dont have are a flyer and a dive coaster. If Cedar Fair does indeed not like flyers, then their only real option from them left would be a dive coaster(though they do have regular sit-down loopers which I dont see as likely).

Not true... There isn't a standup coaster in Cedar Point's collection! So that's always another option! 😁😎

I'm still waiting for a hybrid Dark Ride/Dive Machine/Human Resources Department. So long as there's no tunnels to flood.

They should leave at least some of Cedars standing and turn it into a Haunted Hotel Halloweekends attraction.
