Calypso and Turnpike Cars land

Whats the progress on the new Lakeside Pavillion because I haven't really been paying too much attention to it. If it isn't really built yet i was thinking it could be for that.

I would love to see the bay side continue to have some sort of lodging for whatever makes sense.

I have stated before that a nice tower with smaller foot print could accommodate employees, vip's, function type lodging, boating exclusive residence. Thus allowing encroaching on this area for a bit of space.

I think that at some point a ride with a pirate theme will connect to the marina in some manner.

On the first webcam, you can see they are clearing the land where TPC occupied.

I thought we started to see that about a week and a half ago.

Indeed, we've been talking about it for 9 days.

After looking further at this, I'm wondering if there is possibility that the marina gate will be moved next to Blue Streak. That could be part of a Blue Streak midway revamp next year.

If there is a Blue Streak Midway revamp next year. Hopefully there is though.

I'm not sure why that would or should be. It would be a little bit of an extra walk for employees, marina visitors, restaurant visitors, and folks going to and from the ferry. There's nothing across from that spot but a parking lot.
It looks like they're using that area as a construction entrance right now.

I'm pretty sure Cedars will be gone soon. And if the exit was there, you'd be closer to Bay Harbor, but just a slightly longer walk to FD's. Then that path would no longer be a "dead end" and would drive more foot traffic to that area. You'd get people going to BH, FD's and the marina passing through. Although, I think it's highly possible there will be a new path that will extend out to the former GTT land which could just as well connect to the existing marina gate. It was just a thought since I saw a bunch of open space next to Blue Streak.

The CPfansite page on Facebook posted some pictures of pumpkin patches on the mounds of dirt behind the fence. I'm officially clueless to what they could be for or hinting at.

Well, Matt Ouimet did say recently that the cleared land would be for a pumpkin patch.

If he said that on the spot and they're simply following through with it just to spite us.......I will have a whole new appreciation for them. But if it has something to do with the reveal, then I am perplexed. I remember pitching an idea for a family dark ride centered around the story of the great pumpkin to keep with the whole "family" aspect of things. But I'm doubting this, in any way, is adding any validity to that idea.

It's a little late to plant pumpkins on those mounds and expect them to be ready by Halloweekends.

Maybe they'll just have several thousand little pumpkins and scatter them on the grounds for kids to "pick". How nice for mom and dad, carrying around a pumpkin with them all day...

Well I was just at Kings Island yesterday wearing my Cedar Point T-Shirt and many employees began talking to me. One, who must have been friends with the Lemon Chill guy, stated that he knew for a fact that we were getting a B&M Dive Coaster, exactly as described in the memo. Case closed.

My bet is that it won't be a dive coaster but rather a replica of the Great Pumpkin coaster from KI, fits in with the newly planted Pumpkin Patch and all.

I honestly think that the leaked memo is what will come to Cedar Point next year. In 2013 the park got exactly what the leaked memo described. A new wing rider replacing SS and DT. So the dive coaster is my best bet.

Agreed about a coaster going in that spot. BTW, ^^^^^ (mac), I was thinking the same thing about the pumpkins but they looked about 30% grown when we saw them to the left of the Marina exit last night. There are 5 different plantings going on. I don't see them as anything other than decorations. They'll probably be ready around October. Beach Blast was OK last night, lot of people on the beach very late. Band was all right.

BTW, there's some new electrical markings to the right of Cadillac Cars (heading to the Marina) now. Wouldn't be surprised if those see the chopping block at the end of the season also. We still have the Antiques in FT. We shall see.

I've said all along that Cadillacs will be gone for this, too. I can't imagine they would stay.
