Healthy food is coming to dining pass!

I filled out the feedback form back in May suggesting that they add healthier options to the all season dining plan. I really didn't expect to hear anything back, but I got a call on Friday from a gentleman named Kyle saying they appreciate the feedback and that since many people had my same opinion they will soon be adding the option of a fruit cup rather than fries at most locations as well as Midway Market for salads and he also said they are working to get some other places involved. He was very nice and said he just wanted to let me know that these additions are definitely coming. This is great news! Nice job to whoever else helped by sending in feedback for healthier choices. I just hope it doesn't take too long to get this going.

I got that call, too! He told me he was very surprised to see all of the response about healthy food, and that we're always welcome to drop by the food service office if we have questions or suggestions in the future. Nice guy, and I'm glad the healthy options are coming.

P.S. Midway Market is coming to the list. AYCE salad is good to me. :)

Midway market on the dining plan? Cool, another sit-down establishment.

They've definitely been listening to us and making changes which is awesome. Pink's has turkey burgers and Coasters has grilled chicken. Anyone know of other changes that are already available?

My dining plan has already paid for itself compared to stopping at Wendy's or similar way down on 250. Plus, that's like an extra hour of travel time now spent in the park. Perhaps browsing the shops. I see what they did there. ;)

The full buffet at Midway Market is becoming part of the dining plan? Wow, if that does happen it brings the value of the dining plan up another notch.

Not sure how else they would handle MM other than to escort you to the salad bar and only to the salad bar.

Also, I agree. Having the option of a buffet would make the dining plan that much more worth it. :)

I almost feel like OP meant that salads were coming to Midway Market, and just that. Not that it is being added to the meal plan

That's not how I took it. Don't they already have a salad bar, anyway?

Salad and fruit cup would both be welcomed by my family.

Anyway they can incorporate the midway market would be great too.

Fruit would definitely be a nice break from all the fries and onion rings currently available.

Let's get those gallon cans of processed fruit salads from Sam's Club a rollin!

No, I was told that Midway Market was going to be part of the dining plan, not that salad is coming there. They've already got a full salad bar, which is a definite better option than pizza, fried chicken, burgers, hot dogs and onion rings/fries.

I too filled out a comment form asking for healthier options! I am thrilled to hear this news!!!

By any chance did he give any indication as to when these changes would be taking place? I spoke to the same gentleman a month a go and have yet to see these changes other than the addition of the Grilled Chicken Sandwich at Rapid Waves.

As I mentioned before, they've already made some changes. Pink's now has a turkey burger (not sure it's much healthier, but hey) and Coasters has a grilled chicken sandwich that I had on Saturday (mmm). There are probably other new options but I haven't been able to check all the locations.

I saw your post however those options are not listed as part of the dining plan on Cedar Point's website as far as I can see. If not listed explicitly as available, I'm not sure how people would know that you can opt to get those things on the food plan now other than maybe noticing it on the menu board at each location. Thank you anyways for your input. Still wondering about a time line on the other changes mentioned...

Sadly yes, the listing online has not been kept up-to-date with the changes they have made. I only noticed them because I happened to stop by expecting to get something else. I can only hope that more changes will happen before long, though only time will tell. The only people who know are in food services and may be discouraged from divulging said information.

I noticed at Pink's that the menu now has a dining plan logo next to each item that is available on the plan. Don't know if it is everywhere, but with the change to mostly computer monitor menu boards it would be easy to implement all over.

Pink's was the only one I noticed to have been missing it, but they did add the icons on the digital menus there sometime in May, I believe.

THANK GOODNESS! I am really excited to see this. I love CP, but I'm very health conscious. I would have bought the all season plan if these options were implemented!
