Healthy food is coming to dining pass!

Kudos to CP for adding Midway Market. Made me purchase the dining plan yesterday, and I had no problems whatsoever. I agree with the above comments, the plan should be good through November 2nd, last day of the season.

Can you go to CP and just get a pop and free refills? If I could, I would go there to use the Freestlye machine and get a free refill then take the refill to go.

This really sucks, but Starting this Friday, you will no longer be able to use the all- season dining plan, or the all day dining plan at the Midway Market. They will only be accepting the Single Meal Deal. https://www.facebook.com/pointbuzz/photos/a.100609361795.114220.340...=1&theater

I'm disappointed because Midway Market had something beside sandwiches and fries to offer.

I thought it was added as a way to provide some more variety and "healthy choices" I guess it was too costly.

I think it's a bad move from a customer service to still allow the single day meal plan and blow off the all-season customer. May cost the park a little on the short term but burning the pass holder can cost them more in the long term.

I wonder if they'll add anything else to make up for the Midway Market being dropped from the plan.

I sent an email to the park complaining about the move. My family bought two all-season plans for my wife and I this year. We planned on buying the meal deals for the kids next summer. I still think it's a good value if you use them, but it was a great value with Midway Market on the plan.

Very disappointing, Midway Market made the season dining plan a great value. Some of the things on the dining plan can't even be considered meals, like the two cheese on a stick and chips. That just seems like a snack for two people.

Very disappointing. Not a very good move CP to give something then just take it away. We enjoyed eating there.

Exactly, if having Midway Market on the dining plan was a money loser, suck it up for the rest of the year CP and chaulk it up to experience. Don't include it next year but don't take it away this year, especially this late in the season. I know someone who bought a season dining plan for his vegetarian wife after Midway Market was added because she can eat the salads and pasta. He wouldn't have bought it for her if Midway Market wasn't on the plan. A very cheap move for management that otherwise has been very focused on customer service.

I am very disappointed. I dropped a note to CP about this, but I have little faith it will matter.

The main reason I decided to purchase the plan was because of the addition of Midway Market. Very disappointing indeed. You lose integrity when you pull stuff like that on your guests. Not cool.

I don't like to complain about Cedar Point. They do wonderful things for us enthusiasts, and it's gotten better every year. Behind-the-scenes tours, free jackets, shirts, food, ERT -- I couldn't be happier.

But they should know that his move could blow up and be a PR nightmare...or maybe not. Guest Relations will be a busy place come Saturday. I'm one person who probably won't be buying any more "deals", knowing now that they can be modified. I'm hoping they rethink this.

Maybe the healthy food option wasn't as popular as they'd hoped? I haven't been to the park in a while, but have they made fruit cups or anything like that an option at any other places?

I'm really disappointed that the healthy option is going away. I've been avoiding "park food" and losing weight. I don't like being limited to nothing but fried stuff.

They sell fruit cups at the Coca Cola Marketplace, and there is sometimes a cart near the water rides, that sells fresh fruit.

right. "sell" fruit cups.

I have a dining pass. I would prefer fruit in place of fries.

My guess is it was more popular than anticipated and they were probably taking a beating on it, Midway Market was running out of food, didn't have enough staff to keep up, etc. I do agree it's lame that they change it in the middle of the season, but I felt like this was too good to be true.

They ought to offer something of a more healthy variety as a replacement for the fries - even if it's a piece of fruit or two or a fruit cup. I think that would take care of most people's issues with the food plan.

They did seem to mention earlier that fruit cups were coming to locations throughout the park, to be offered in place of fries. As far as I know, that has yet to come to fruition.

Regarding Midway Market, it was an awesome deal. I'm disappointed that they decided to take it away after only about a month. Agreed with the others suggesting they at least keep it through the end of the season.

The All Season Dining Plan is still a great deal, but it was nice having the healthy options. The only time I was able to use it at MM, I made sure to stick to steamed veggies, mashed potatoes, and pasta. Much better than the other, heavier options.

My parents went to Kings Island last week and the food deal options there have more variety than CP. Salads, burritos, and more. You would think CP could find a way to add an option for a salad or fruit cup at at least a few stands. Or mark the all day wristbands and let you eat once a day at Midway Market. Hope to see some healthier options in the future.

Yeah, the season dining pass is a much better value at Kings Island. There is so much variety, and there are options that I really enjoy and look forward to there.

I really hadn't eaten much of anything at CP until this year with the season dining pass. The available options have given me a very mediocre opinion of CP's food. It's mostly just generic junk food that fills your stomach. The addition of Midway Market gave variety (and I actually enjoyed my meal there this year), but now it's gone.

After this season, I couldn't even imagine paying $15 for a generic burger or chicken tenders and fries combo. I still think CP's season dining pass is a great value for the price, especially someone with a high metabolism that's not very picky (like a teenager). But, I really hope CP takes a look at what Kings Island is offering and gives some variety and healthy options for adults next year.

Just me, but isn't healthy food at an amusement park defeat the purpose?

I mean.. Thats part of the charm.. its part of the reason you go. Greasy, sugary, fattening food to "Spoil" yourself with since its a "Vacation" destination..

Yes indeed. I eat healthy 355 days of the year. On the remaining days I am going to indulge myself with very-bad-for-me amusement park food, horrible buffet restaurants, and my mother's delicious but bad for me cooking.

Everything is fine in moderation, but junk food doesn't need to be a part of having fun, especially for those that frequently visit. Additionally, when I eat the stuff on the season dining pass, I don't feel like I've been treated to much more than filler. CP's generic fries, burgers, chicken tenders, and pizza just aren't things I'd crave, which is probably a reason why I'm more apt to think of the nutrition.
