I don't like the gap at all. It doesn't look as nice. I thought they would be somehow connected without that gap.

They still might cover it with some sort of paneling. That's probably all they need anyways thought the vibration may cause some issues

I think you're right, they said they'll cover it in paneling of some sort and the rendering (we all know we can't go by that) doesn't have the gap.

I hope they put the roof in like the renderings show. That way when it's raining during the summer and the people working have some shelter and not getting drenched.

I myself find the gap a very nice architectural touch.

I agree. It adds an artsy touch, I think so anyway! :)

Looking at the beach cam, I am curious to see how far down the public area will extend. Hopefully well past the train storage structure. Prime beach view and ride viewing real estate. This area maybe not set for use just yet but in future years?

I am also curious if the gap in the towers is not an integral aspect of the engineering to allow a bit more flex during the dynamic load. And does the other fork facilitate the dispersion of that load as it passes?

I'm also hoping that pathways will extend down that way too. There's some space to work with over there and it will sure be interesting to see what they do.

*also supports for the return inline are going up at the moment. Not positive that's what those are for but I'm pretty sure

^ The keyholes and the first supports on either side of the keyholes are combined supports that support the tracks going both ways.

They had one last small support to put in before beginning to install track.

Looks like they might try and install track through the first keyhole today. It will help stabilize the tower horizontally: you can see they've installed some temporary cables to help stabilize until they can get some of the track installed.

I think you're right. The support between the completed track and the first keyhole has been placed. I think we'll see some action today.

I didn't like the gap between the pieces at first, but I have to admit it's starting to grow on me. I'm kind of hoping it isn't covered with paneling.

Does anyone know if they are going to put a roof up for the entrance?

They must be putting some paneling up over the gap. The gap looks terrible. It doesn't even look done.
