New Gemini in 2013

Don't remember the last time I rode Gemini... I would not miss it one bit, actually.

I would much prefer a new GCI in that spot. Yes, yes I would.

I think if we see any new wooden coaster of some kind, it'll have something to do with Mean Streak. I would love to see something done similar to Outlaw Run so it'll still be considered a wooden roller coaster. However, I would not like it to have inversions. I think it's cool that wooden coasters now have the ability to do that but I prefer the turns and bunny hops on wooden coastes.

CP will never get rid of Gemini! The only two rides that are like this are

A: both owned by CF

B:Special Coaster Systems

C:CCMR and Exaliber at VF!

^ I wouldn't say NEVER. I never thought they would tear down Space Spiral.

Every attraction has a life span, bro. I would be shocked if Gemini makes it another fifteen years.

True, every attraction does have a life span. But, I won't be shocked if Gemini is still at CP in 15 years. It's a park essential racing coaster, and it's still a great ride. If you figure a new coaster every 5 years or so, I'd more likely expect one of the 3 new coasters to knock out Mean Streak, Iron Dragon, Cork Screw, or Mine Ride.

Whoops I just participated in this new Destruction Buzz site. ;)

Essential? Nothing at the park is essential enough to keep it off the chopping block.

I didn't mean Gemini will be there till 3000! But it's unique and there's little chance of it going within the next 2 decades. Even more so if it's still so smooth

^^ Oh I know. I'd call a Wild Mouse an amusement park staple as well, but it didn't help our Cat much. ;)

You do have to keep in mind that park staples are changing.

The Magnum XL-200 is pretty essential to keeping me coming back!

I would love it if they would put in a newer style wild mouse like the steel dragon at Waldameer! That one is a blast

It's be interesting to have some height limits looked at... I wonder if Gemini really needs a 48" requirement... 46 would make it a little more family friendly. My daughter who is 3 rides almost every ride at Disney with her 40" which includes Big Thunder Mountain and Tower of Terror.... I feel Big Thunder is more likely to throw someone than Gemini...

Cedar Fair likes to play it on the safe side, more than any other chain I think. I'm interested to see what GateKeeper will be.

Gemini generates some fairly strong airtime in the last seat, 48" seems reasonable to me.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Gatekeeper is going to be a B&M coaster. It is standard that B&Ms have 54 inch requirement, so Gatekeeper will be 54 inches, like Raptor and Mantis.

I wouldn't be so sure if I were you. Wild Eagle is 50 inches and Cedar Point said they're looking at getting it lower than 54.
