Gemini is too unique to "taer" down anyway. I love the ride and it will stay for a while. I miss racer backwards also, I loved the feeling of airtime going backwards.

Now Gem going backwards would be fun, esp. on the turns where people would be facing the other train. You could give a backwards high five while going past them, or shake hands, hehe.

Well, if this whole Gemini refurbishment/change was gonna happen, according to the 1st post in this thread we would've known about it almost 2 weeks ago. So I think we can count on not having the trains run backwards along with a remodeled station for next year.

Wasn't Gemini's station just touched up for the new ADA requirements anyway? And to keep Gemini's "theme" you really wouldn't want to change much, considering that the retroness of the design, logos, that sort of thing is part of the charm.

Wouldn't it hurt if you were going backwards on the last turn.

I always thought the station was spacious, and with the right operations, overcrowding shouldn't be an issue.

Gemini is crazy enough around the helix at the end going forward; my neck would snap off if the trains were placed backwards. I think it would be very cool to have a winner bell at the end. It seemed like 6 years ago the ride hosts used to call out the winning side more then they presently do.

I thought they fixed the majority of the station flooding issues when they close off the entrance near the front of the trains.

Gemini is still a pretty good ride. Besides, you need those in between coasters for kids to break in on. But back in the day, it was THE ride and not an in-between. It's Cedar Point's only racer, they really need to try to emphasize the racing and it could pump people up somewhat again. So they might want to concentrate on the personalities of the ride operators. Remembering the old days and all the excitement, screaming, and hand-slapping. It was like a party going on.

I think I saw Gemini with only one side operating more than both sides operating this past season. I love the ride because it provides a different experience each time, but sometimes it's a hit or miss for me.

What I want to know is if Cedar Creek Mine Ride will be getting the extra Gemini Trains this year...

^ I really hope it does. Mine Ride is not thrilling for me by any means, but I still love riding it. The seats are just so darn uncomfortable though. Especially since you have to share a lap bar.

Replace the Mine Ride trains with the Gemini trains. That would be awesome. They need a re-theming though.
