Housing

unfortunately there are no overnight guests permitted. If you bring a guest into housing, they have to fill out a form and must be out by midnight or 1am.. Housing also keeps a photo ID of the person you sign in until they check out .. and if they are not out.. the CP Police come looking.. best bet, get a cheap hotel or make friends with people who live in Sandusky.

If I choose the dorms, what do you guys usually do for food? Since there is no kitchen and probably only enough room for a mini fridge that 4 people have to share, do you mostly eat out or in the Employee Cafeteria? And is the food in the Cafeteria decent? I don't want to find myself having to eat junk food all summer.

the food in the cafe is decent, they ussually have a pretty good choice to pick from to like salads, fruit, or like a main food to, some days have pasta, chicken etc. The staff is sooo diverse i think they do a pretty good job of the variety and its decently priced, essp compared to the mcdonolds right off point hahaha

I've been looking at a map of Cedar Point and I'm trying to figure out where exactly the on point housing is. Can anyone give me like a general area to look in. I'm just not sure about anything. In particular I'm trying to find Golds.

Golds is right next to Corkscrew's lift hill, or behind the water tower depending on how you look at it.

The food options for off-point housing isn't too bad. With a little stacking you definitely have room for each roommate to have their own mini-fridge. Microwaves are provided in the lobby of the 1300 and 1500 buildings, and in the Commons Store for everyone else. The store usually has a decent selection of microwaveable food at reasonable prices. There's also a McDonald's across the street and East of Chicago Pizza next door.

Where is the closest grocery store to the Commons Dorms?

I believe the closest is Kroger on Perkins Ave. There's also a Meijer and Walmart further out on 250. All three of them will require some form of transportation to get to. There's usually an employee bus route that goes out to the mall and Walmart a couple times a day.

What is cedar point's policy on alcohol within the dorms? I worked at Disney for the summer and they had 21 and over housing where it was allowed. Does Cedar Point do anything like that.

Hello to all,

This will be my first summer working at the Point and I am very interested in my future housing arrangement.. after doing reserch of what was available i am unsure of what it is I could see myself living in.. I am a quiet No Non Sense type of guy, but also perfer to be in an atmosphere where i could prepare a meal if i decieded to.. I hate eating out alot.. i really prefer not to be segregated with all males, due to me being in the military and i know how that is! .... which housing would best suit me, which are more likely to get into with my start date nearing May 10?

I'm starting May 8th, I will be a lifeguard... I have no car... I want to stay some where convenient, yet comfortable.. I would prefur a co-ed building.. Any recomendations?

Can you choose who you want to room with if you know someone there?

And how strict is it for having non employees over? Can they stay the night or do they have to be out by a certain time?
