As most of you know, Millennium Force, or "Millie" as most enthusiasts know it as, is coming to it's 10th birthday. This makes me feel old, because I remember waiting the 6 hour line just to ride it. Any thoughts or trips back on memory lane of riding the beast when it first opened?

I can't believe my favorite ride in the world is turning 10. Wow, time flies. It seems like just yesterday my baby was born.

They grow up so fast. :(

TedFuzz. No longer manually signing posts. Too bad. =(

Speak for yourself. I think that's a stupid name.

My memories are in the bazillion photos from the construction.

^Definitely agree about the name. I can't stand the names people on here have given Cedar Point's coasters. Its kind of creepy and odd if you ask me.

As for Millennium, I still remember my first ride. Around that time is when I discovered Guide to the Point. That was a great site for MF construction photos;)

I'd really like if they could return her to her former blue glory.:(

Maybe in the off-season for Millennium Force, they'll give her a nice paint job.

I'll never forget taking my first ride. The first season they wouldn't let you wait for what seat you wanted, it was first come first serve one train at a time, and we were lucky enough to get the front seat. I'd never been on a ride that smooth, it was pretty incredible.

At least it's marginally better than Walt's suggestion of 'Shootie'. ;)

It was my summer trip after I had just graduated from high school. My brother got married, and the next morning we took the 10 hour road trip to Cedar Point. We stayed in a hotel in Bellevue Ohio, and decided to check the park out because we were so excited for the next day. We arrived at Battery park around 6 in the evening and we couldn't believe it. We saw Millennium Force for the first time. The crazy thing about this is that we didnt even know about the ride. We were just wanting to ride Magnum. It was truly a great surprise and a fun vacation!

Maybe for it's 10th anniversary in addition to the paint job they'll replace some of the lightbulbs that light the scaffolding of the first hill.

Could be worse. Could cross Maverick and Demon Drop.

Call it "The Legend of Ricky Droppy" ;)

That sound you hear is a combination of drumsticks and cymbals crashing to the floor.

Or that I've been in Kansas this week and just now saw this thread. Took me about 3 minutes to make sure there wasn't a kids ride that could be shortened to Bobby.

Hooray for Millennium Force. Not sure what this "Millie" ride is, though.

Going up that lift hill for the first time (it was pitch black) was an unforgetable sensation.

Ah, back when Halloweekends felt like you had the whole park to yourself!

I thought it was MF, TTD, MS, CCMR etc. :)

GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.

It's just odd because it seems like it's only a couple of years old. Good job on kicking ass, MF.

Wow, 10 years...unbelievable. I can remember the first year of Magnum as well...4 or 5 years old and relieved that I was too small to ride.

CP better have a birthday party for MF! And instead of giving it a sign for its birthday, some new paint or lights would be nice.

I can't wait for CP to get back to their glory and give us that next true sequel to MF...shattering all world records and seeing that 7 hour line wrapped through the entire park. I miss those days and can't wait for CP to deliver another monster that coaster enthusiasts around the world envy.
