Dude, what are you even talking about?
Think about it... advances in engineering aren't making rides cheaper. Maverick at $21 million is 1/4th the height and half the speed of Dragster at $25 million.
Which is still irrelevant, because again, the ride that offers the most return on investment in the long run is what they want to build. What can or can't be built makes no difference. Even Dick's ego can't cash checks that do anything else at this point.

Magnum XL 200 is better known as Magnum not maggie.
Millennium Force is better known as MILLENNIUM FORCE.
Maggie and Millie are the queerest names possible.
Give the rides the respect that they deserve.
I think calling Maverick, Mavvy, is just as queer.
Queer has traditionally meant odd or unusual --websters
Queer = Gay -- in modern times.
Stop nicknaming the rides with gay ass names.
While I understand your annoyance with the dumb/ lame nicknames folks have come up with for Magnum, Millennium Force, and Maverick, your comments are uncouth.
uncouth -- meaning awkward and uncultivated in appearance, manner, or behavior (see RUDE) -- merriam-webster's
Point taken Coastern. I could have used a better way to criticize the terrible nicknames. In retrospect, I do see how calling these monikers gay is childish. I do not see how you can bring retardation into it though.
Because for a second, I thought you really did have a mental problem and I wasn't trying to be mean, just seeing if you were updating from a group home. I take a lot of offense to someone using the word gay to describe something. I'm a straight male who lives with his fiancée, but I do a lot of work with the gay community and am generally tolerant of anyone whom I share my country with as long as they act in the same manner.
Not that I think its necessarily appropriate in this case, but I've had more than a couple gay friends use the word "gay" to describe things. Interestingly, it seems straight PC-proponents are more offended by the word than homosexuals.
Brandon
DJ, you are right. I worked with alot of homosexuals while serving tables in college. It is nearly impossible to offend them. I could joke around with them and they would come right back with something clever. They all had a very good sense of humor.

Black people also use the 'n' word. Does that make it okay? Just because your one or two gay/lesbian friends say the word doesn't mean the rest of the community is ok with it, nor does it mean its alright to use. people here hate Mean Streak, that must mean its a terrible ride.
Also, the above PSA was created by a gay and lesbian council, not some overly PC group called AdCouncil.
Also, this thread is so Gobucks89.
Let me clear something up. Calling something "gay" in a derogatory sense is a bannable offense. You've been warned.
