The media will be there. Its only been on Cleveland Radio and the local FOX network news channel will be there.

Besides, they have not even givin a date for an announcement yet. And where the ride is located(in the frontier trai), do you think that a nascar tie in would make sense?

Jeff Gordon is enough to bring the media to the park, although its not significant. If we know anything they are playing games, so why put it past them to spring it on as a surprise. ALSO - fun fact - TOGO invented the stand-up coaster.

Maybe since Jeff Gordonzzz will be at Cedar Pointzzzzz like they'll name the new coasterzzz the Rainbow Warrior Coaster omfg lolzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!

Did you know that they used to just spring the rides on us? Maverick has been the only CP ride lately that had an announcement date. Skyhawk just popped up on closing day the year before it opened. They don't have to give a date out if they don't want too. Yes, Diamondback, the KD giga, and Carrowinds B&M have announcement dates, but that doesn't mean we will get one.

I didn't mean to bring up a I hate/love Nascar frenzy. I was just saying that I thought it might be announced tomorrow. Just a guess.

You might be right if any of that existed. The company is fake. The drink is fake. Cedar Fair/Point made all of it up. It has to do with a ride, maybe not CP's ride, but a Cedar Fair ride definately.

I doubt there having Jeff Gordan announce the ride. The reason they are giving him more coverage than Brady cause there giving away tons of things. Tho i always love to be proven wrong on these things....

That whyte lightning is strange because it brings a lot of questions of what Cedar Point is up to for 2010. Maybe depending on the roller coaster model, it could still share the same name as the new Carowinds coaster that now has track pictures according to www.Screamscape.com

The name Whyte Lightening makes me think of Hershey Park's Lightening Racers. The web site says that lightening strikes twice. I wonder if this could possibly be a dueling GCI?
