Mystery Construction

Hm not sure. I know this thread isn't. There is one about project 2006 that was 103 pages.

4 summers of employment in ride operations does stuff to you.

ScreamScape:
and is it me or do I see an upside down version of the Millennium Force “wave” at the top of the bottle?

Not sure if already mentioned but I just saw the wave on the bottle which is ironic. Since the attraction is being built on Millennium Force island, they hid the wave on the bottle.

I think the lighting bolt is pointing to where the bones of Harry Potter are buried. I am just saying......Potter.....lightning scar.... Guess we will find out on the 22nd.

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

22nd?

Your mom is to fat to ride TTD. said:Did you know that they used to just spring the rides on us? Maverick has been the only CP ride lately that had an announcement date. Skyhawk just popped up on closing day the year before it opened. They don't have to give a date out if they don't want too. Yes, Diamondback, the KD giga, and Carrowinds B&M have announcement dates, but that doesn't mean we will get one.

Actually, every ride HAS an actual announcement date. I can't recall Dragster, WT, or Millenniums, but people were aware of when they were going to announce them. For the most part, it's the following years capital expenditure report (I believe that's what it's called) that announces the ride. Something they usually make aware of.....much like Carowinds and Dominions dates. Your right in that they don't HAVE to give an exact date if they don't feel like it. But to say that none of the rides (including SkyHawk) have had announcement dates is a bit off.

We WILL have an announcement. We just don't know when exactly.

2010: The Year we make contact. Kinzel's big bang will cause Jupiter to implode giving earth two suns, bringing peace to all the world and stop the coaster wars. At the ride annoucement you will hear tony start out the speech going "My god it's Full of stars." Then Dick will give his retirment speech in soothing computer voice which will go something like this "ALL THESE WORLDS ARE YOURS EXCEPT EUROPA ATTEMPT NO LANDING THERE USE THEM TOGETHEr USE THEM IN PEACE" Then lighting will strike twice and everyone will crack open a bottle of Whyte lighting.

Great movie.

New Point Poll question:

I guess we can scratch off water ride now.

I am sad, no all of the above.

Well, I voted for the roller coaster. I guess we shall find out today about 5pm when Jeff Gordon announces it in front of the the HOT SUMMER LIGHTS screen.

Given that CP hasn't done anything but throw out totally random, pointless "hints", I think its safe to say that NONE of the choices on that list are what's coming in 2010. This is, apparently, their latest lame attempt at social marketing.

Their next hint will be something along the lines of:
What tomatoes are the color shiny of used truck in parts fermenting containers? Vanilla wafers, of course!

I'd consider a water a ride a thrill ride, so I wouldn't totally scratch it off.

Well yes, if we're considering a water ride a thrill ride, then that's the one.

But then there's the troublesome fact that a water ride is, in fact, a water ride, and not a thrill ride, per CP's very own web site. :)

^You've stumped me there

Its gonna be a water ride that is more impressive than Storm Force 10. Even with a backwards drop.
On the polling page, check out the picture of Gemini that look in the blue car, 3 seat from the front, there is perv looking down a woman's shirt as she is pulling her top up!

It can be a thrilling water ride, right?

Once again, for some UNKNOWN reason, SO many people here take what is in that ridiculously dumb blog to be the Gospel of Cedar Point. How many times have T&T posted something just to screw with your fanatical heads and then sat back and laughed at how ridiculous you sound? Am I the only one here that realizes what they're doing? Anyone else? Bueller? Bueller?

With them being on Twitter & Facebook, I actually had high hopes (especially after the pretty awesome Diamondback "road trip" video from early this season) that they finally "got it."

Obviously, they don't.

Then again, given that so many will eat up whatever they say, even when its obviously complete BS, maybe they do get it...?

Brandon

Raceringer, you ruined the Save Ferris tribute water tower on MF island for John Hughes surprise.

They haven't said B&M yet. Hopefully it's a B&M drop coaster with one of those splash zones.

Unless of course, Busch Gardens does indeed have a monopoly on those.
