If it helps, I work in Cuyahoga Falls and live on the border of Cuyahoga Falls and Akron.

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

My father's family grew up in Cuyahoga falls, and they are pretty odd folks. Must be something in the river.......anyway, have you been to the gorge metropark? It's pretty cool...

Ok back to cedar point fountains!:)

Gorge Park is a fun hike, though the smell of the CSOs (combined sewer overflows) detracts from the experience. I prefer to get up into Cuyahoga Valley National Park. If you've never seen Kendall Ledges, it's quite worth the trip.

The fountain that was there before the ball fountain was much cooler. I had not visited CP from 1985 to 1989 and was really put off when I saw the "ball" in 1990. They reused the pool, took out the color changing lights and changing fountain patterns. An interactive fountain for kids would be cool. Disney has really capitalized on that concept. My kids love it.

I agree Kendall Ledges is nice. Gorge Park is nice, but it does smell, but just a few miles West there is the Akron Metro Parks. I train there and it really smells considering the sewage plant down the street.

Back to CP.... Save the fountain!

The fountains shonw in the video wouldn't work at CP if little kids are going to be running through it. They would have to be low powered otherwise you get lightweight kids flying in the air. Anybody see the video of the guy getting shot up 20 feet by a water fountain? I couldn't find it on youtube.

I'm pretty sure Cedar Point would be against adding a fountain of this type if they knew little children would be turned into flying projectiles (though a sight to see...). I'm sure it will be fine, many Cities have similar fountains and there never seems to be a problem like that. The jets on fountains like this are generally low pressure, hardly enough pressure to take someone of their feet.
