I think it is, you can clearly see the bow ti in the back of the picture and they look like the Magnum trains.

My post on coasterbuzz:

I can tell you 100% for sure that was the greatest ride in the world - the Magnum XL-200. I was working that day (it was 2005). The photo people definitely brought us up the picture to see right after it happened.

Is that magnum? Yes

Is that bird horribly photoshopped into that picture? Yes

I looked at this on Coasterbuzz yesterday, and if it's real, it has to be the most photoshopped looking real picture I have ever seen. The drop shadow on the bird looks way too uniform...However the lighting seems fairly accurate. I think Adam and Jamie would call this one "Plausible".

Seeing as how the bird itself is actually upside down, and the speed at which the train is traveling at the time of the on-ride photo, and "judging" how close the bird is to the gentleman on the right, than the girl should have gotten a face full of feathers.

That being said, and being a heavy user of Photoshop, I would go with "busted."

I would say no, it is not Magnum, I dont see Soak City (too many trees in the background).

The trains look very similar, as do the supports and track color in the background... but there are other parts of this picture (trees, rusty rail), that make this look nothing like Magnum. I'm confused.

I know I said no before, but looking again (especially now that its morning) it looks more like Magnum. My one issue though, is that there looks to be too much track in the background for it to be Magnum. That's the part that's just not jiving.

I can't reconcile the background either - as you said, there is too much track, and the horizon certainly doesn't fit, either, so far as I can tell.

The thing is, those are Arrow trains. And none of the other Arrow coasters (that I could find) have white trains and red track.

So unless someone is making trains that are EXTREMELY similar to the Arrow hyper trains, this has to be Magnum. But the trees and "pretzel" track just don't seem right.

After comparing to this (its the best I can do from here, I'll see if I can get something better from PointPixels) I think we are looking at Magnum. There's still something that doesn't seem right about the angles, but I think we are looking at Magnum.

Honestly, how many of you guys have your on ride photo and it shows that much outside the ride? I have looked at mine, and none of them show that much outside the train itself (some of my TTD pics have queue lines in them).

Looking at my on-ride photo from 2005, the background of the picture matches perfectly. That said, the bird does look Photo-Shopped. The sun looks like it's hitting the bird from the opposite direction than the riders...

Yeah, like Darth Snoopy said, the sun is coming from the left in relation to the picture but the shadow from the bird is being cast from the right.

While it may be a Magnum on ride photo (I have a hard time even believing that), the bird was not originally in that picture.

Are you guys serious? It's NOT photoshopped. I was working that day ON MAGNUM! Google for images of "magnum on ride photo" and the background will match perfectly. And the weird shadow? Anyone heard of a flash?
