I'm new here, so dont judge me...
Look, I haven't been on a Dive Machine, or been to Cedar Point (*tear*). But in my opinion, Dive Machine's look cool, and alot of fun. Sheikra looks kool, and also Griffon looks kool, and i agree that they look a little too short, but, the main part of a Dive Machine is to go staright down, so their is no point of anything else (except for a tunnel and a couple of Turns)
And for the one trick pony, or what ever its called, alot of ride's have that, but their still awsome to ride...

DONT JUDGE ME!!!!!

I'm new as well, And I think that the dive coasters do look like fun but the only intense/exciting part of the ride seems to be the dive(s). then again i won't know until I try.

But if CP were to get one i would think they'd need to "spruce" it up a bit. In my opinion...

Nothing about Dive machines are intense/fun. Sheikra was the lamest ride I've been on in a long time, and it really looked scary.

Well for some people they could be intense, like, for people who haven't, been on anything that big before, but for some people, they think it sucks. Everyone has a different opinion...

John mann, your cool...

So BGE wout/ Griffon = you go

BGE w/ Griffon = you don't go?

How does that work?

I tihnk everybody is way too harsh on the dive coaster. It is what it is, a sit down coaster with trains designed to maximize the front seat effect. If a park builds one with two vertical drops and like 5-6 inversions that would be pretty sweet, but you can't hold it against B&M for parks buying what they ask B&M to build for them.

Even though I love B&M, I'm still holding out for a Gravity Group woodie at CP...The Voyage is so delicious!

I had much more fun on Sheikra than I did on Dragster. Of course, Dragster was more intense but in my mind intensity does not equal fun.

Sheikra had everyone laughing (nervous laughter at first) and then carrying on as we ended the ride. Now, perhaps it would seem less impressive in a park with Dragster and Millennium Force but that will be a problem at Cedar Point no matter what other coasters come down the road.

Dragster is the most over-rated ride in the history of roller coasters. It doesn't interest me much at all. I'm all over Busch next year.

I have to agree with you, JP. For what Dragster is (a whole lot of not much) it's a fun ride, but it's not something that would draws me to the park.

That red Arrow across the midway, though, does.

Dragster may be over-rated. But, I don't see that these dive machines are much better. And no, I haven't been on one. So, guess it's BGE next year to see what all the hype is about.
