My Guess ''Griffon'' Busch entertainment tradmarked it just like Cedar Fair Trademarked ''Maverick''

I think that some people take the posting rules a bit too seriously.

Yeah, because Walt posts rules for new reading material.

Honestly most of the people on here have extreme trouble staying on topic.

Ironic.

Hey...

When they do announce these rides, what specifically do they say?

Give me an example.

"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"

For Skyhawk, Walt posted the info at the same time as it was available on CP.com, if I recall correctly.

Specifically, it was just typical highlights of the key features of the ride, when it would open, etc.

Oh, okay. Thanks...

I've never heard an actual announcement before.

So they'll probably go into specifics- like the height, length, launch (or no launch), etc.?

Go check the Busch Gardens Europe site for info on an announcement. That will give you a good idea of what to expect from CP for their announcement (except they'll hopefully use a professional firm for the 3D render).

They normally have artist's renderings, computer-generated POVs, and all the details of the ride like you mentioned. Sometimes parks will even go into detail about other improvements if they're in the same area. Or, in the case of King's Island, they might just say they're building a ride. LOL!!

Okay, thank you.

I'll try the Busch Gardens, Europe one.

Halltd: King's Island really did that???

I would guess they're using VIP for the renderings and POVs. Keith did both MaXair and SkyHawk. His work is incredible. Check it out at http://www.3dvip.com.

First a shameless plug on the podcast, and another one on pointbuzz. Talk about some free advertising.

(Although, he does do some VERY nice work).

I looked at the Griffon at Busch Gardens in Europe. That looks like it'll be fun.

They could've shown more of the computer ride.
