Announcement

Well since it will be announced by the end of summer they will probably wait till September 23 at 4 in the morning which is 2 minutes before the Autumnal Equinox. They will keep us waiting as long as possible.

What are you talking about???? That makes no sense for you to post that. I think you're just personally pissed and feels the need to 'pick' on someone. I think that some people take the posting rules a bit too seriously. Honestly halltd I would not have known who she was refering to. I guess she could have addressed the other poster by name, and then proceed with her reply. There is no reason to post something bashing her, because it seriously wastes others time.

... Please use this only if you wish to respond to a much earlier post in the thread. Even then, be sure to trim the parts of the post that do not refer to your response.

I don't think he was being an adolescent. It's just so crazy around here lately that if you quote from a post 3 up from yours it becomes very difficult to read. I believe Walt means that if you're quoting someone from another page or even from the top of a page and we've made it to the bottom already.

All the hostility around here...sheeesh

It's not even about Walt's comment on that thread, guys. He (halltd) was personally pissed about something else we were discussing in another thread. He dropped the issue when other people were seeing what I was talking about; he never argued about it again in that post. So what he did was personal & adolescent.

Ask yourself, Loopy: "Did I really give a damn that Leslie did that?"

EDIT: Also, there have been times on here that I (and others) think that I'm posting right below someone and I'm really not; or I'm posting a reply to someone else's a couple of people further down, when it turns out to be more. These posts don't refresh one after the other if you haven't noticed. Ask yourself again: did you care that I didn that? No you don't. So why would he?

Adam, the rules are there for a reason.

I didn't take hall's post as bashing, it wasn't written meanly, it was informative. Loop's right, if you're quoting the guy right above you, the page turns into an incoherent mess of the same thing repeated all the way down the page. The rules are there to make it easier on everyone.

I agree with the quoting/ posting thing, but it really wasn't that serious and he was pissed about something else. Don't make this thread all about me quoting and posting!! How silly. I'm going to bed.

Halltd purposely singled her out and then gave a link to a specific rule. Honestly most of the people on here have extreme trouble staying on topic, so why was her minor infraction to this rule even pointed out. It did bash her only because she might have been ignorant to this rule. I think that he could have at least used some etiquette such as please read this, and maybe a thank you. It would be nice to see people being nicer to one another.

I'll agree that his post could have been worded differently. I had a post earlier today that came out completely wrong as to how it sounded. Making your feelings known with typed words can sometimes be difficult.

If he truely meant it in a derrogotory manner carried over from another thread then that's pretty "silly", as you would say.

I personally, have an awful habit of editing my posts because I type too fast and don't proofread before I click the submit button.

Ok, to get this train back on track...

They are probably mailing out media packets. These will be sent to all major news outlets who have requested to be included in their media mailing list. The packets will include contact information for CP's media department along with details of the story to be covered along with possibly computer animations and drawings of the coaster that they will have ready to use in their broadcast and soforth.

So it looks like after stuffing envelopes all week for both foreign and domestic media outlets. We will all find out the answer to this thread.

CP Fantatic, you should read the "project 2007 Blog Update" thread or even this one and you would have seen that it's been brought up.

Leslie - I'm not sure what you're talking about. I wasn't personally pissed about anything in that other thread. I have a different view on their marketing techniques - its as simple as that. I also didn't shut up because "other people agreed with you". I had said what I felt on the subject, and I was done discussing it - period.

As far as the post goes in here, I was simply reminding you about the quoting issue Walt brought up. I wasn't "attacking" you in any way. You just interpreted it that way. It makes these threads REALLY long when there is quoting after quoting going on. But, since you take everything I comment on personally, I'll leave the admining to Walt. I was merely trying to "better" PointBuzz so it was more enjoyable for all.

Don't stress about it, Tim. There has been an excessive amount of people overreacting when the rules are pointed out to them, no matter how gently its done.
