Announcement

There is only one thing that grabbed my attention in the concept art. I'm sure there are bits and pieces of it that are true (i.e. the corkscrews and the bunny hill ;) ) but the past vertical drop is really interesting to me.

Could we have been lookin at this piece of track at the wrong angle?

Should this be going vertical rather than horizontal? I don't know if this has been brought up yet but i had a funky dream, and it popped into my mind last night while i was half asleep.

There is nothing quite like becoming a human windshield on Millennium Force

^ Maybe. I wouldn´t rule it out.

Baseball, I think you are absolutely right. The beyond verticle will be the world record for the ride (steepest drop) imo.

In my opinion, the artwork is close, with minor details like the drop aren't highlighted or completely accurate yet. I remember MM's artwork for Viper, it had a traditional drop into the first loop (I was psyched). Wathcing the pouring of the footers told the true story, that it wouldn't (arg). We didn't have videos of rides back then. I obviously was very disapointed, since I vividly remember it today.

I hope the height is wrong (though it may not be), and would of liked to see the worlds longest coaster as well (given two launches).

The biggests surprise, and I hope it's true, is that this could be Werner's 500th coaster. This ride truly could be special, given El Torro - WOW!

Look at the ceaderpoint web site its scrolling accross the top.

It seems pretty believable. It's not like there's anything rediculous in the concept art. Screamscape tends to stretch the truth alot.... but normally when they put stuff under "Breaking News", they're telling the truth. Just a thought.

I don't know about all of you but for me looking at the "artwork" on screamscape got me a little dissapointed. Don't get me wrong it looks like a pretty sweet ride, and a boatload of fun, but I was just hoping for something a little more.

I will still take time out to ride it a couple times when I visit the Point the next time but its not going to be one of those that I am going to want to wait in line for over an hour, like Millie, for.

my 2 cents.

You were probably one of the people that said Skyhawk was the same as maXair when it was announced too. Then, after you rode it, you LOVED it. :)

I think Mavvie is going to ROCK and I can't wait to ride it over and over and over again.

If they would add some more swings to the damn ride I would like it more.

What if we nick name the coaster Tom Cruise?

101 on Magnum and counting...

Yeah right. :)

episode 9- Victory of the Force

Actually I was not. (I like Skyhawk much better than MaXair) But you do have a good point. The saying "you can't judge a book by its cover" comes to mind dosnt it?

Oh well thats my opinion and I'm sticking to it!

lol

Steepest drop is 97 degrees, 95 wouldn't break anything.

Am I the only one having a dream every single night that they announced this thing. I swear, every night they announce it...and in the morning, i'm like Oh dang, 5 more days...

...Oh dang, 4 more day...

...then this morning...Oh dang, 3 more days.

I can tell you that I don't dream every night about the announcement.

The Old Chris Mills

Two more days!!! I'll be online- waiting. Does anyone know the time that they're going to announce it? Or a good idea?

Sometime between 12:01am and 11:59pm.

I believe current guesses are leaning toward the 3am to 7am time slot.

Goodbye MrScott

Obviously, it's going to be within that 24-hour period. But even 3am- 7am is a bit silly. Why would they announce it when everyone's sleep!?!?

Because not everyone is asleep. Most notably, those who report the news are wide awake earlier than that.

So when everyone wakes up, they can see what it is. :)
