Announcement

^^ Part of me is saying it is going to be around what the mockup on that other site said, but I hope it is taller than that. I wouldn't mind seeing around 200 feet or a little taller, but whatever it is I will be happy with and enjoy thouroghly!

R.I.P. Mr Scott--I hope you find your lifthill to heaven.

First roller coaster ride was 1999. I had no clue what I was missing.

I agree. It looks like fun already...

Do you really think that the people who work for CP are half as crazy about this stuff as we are?? I DOUBT it'll be at midnight or shortly after. I still say 5-6 am so that morning newscasts can still get ahold of it but they don't miss the morning crowd because they're all still sleeping.

I hope I'm not breaking any rules, I just confirmed the announcement time as 3:30 am.

If you did it by emailing or calling the park, and someone told you, thats not breaking the rules.

If you did it by calling a buddy who works at Millennium, then he's probably not authorized to say, and I also question the source.

Either way, that's not a terribly unexpected time for the information to be officially released.

Goodbye MrScott

John

I called our media contact at the point. He confirmed 3:30. Good luck getting to sleep tonight!

I'll have no trouble sleeping. I'll just check the news when I wake up.

Yeah, I'm in that group as well. I will be here at the station by 3:00 working on Buckeye Football Fever (Texas Week), then classes 9:30-3:15, then back to the station until 8:00

I know I'm sounding a bit crazy but, if I have to, I just might actually pull an "all nighter". I'm a light sleeper anyway.:)

Anyone else willing to go that far.;)

Leave it to a TTD fan.....

I think all the hydraulic fumes you've inhaled through 133 launches are starting to get to you.

I sure wish I didn't have any responsibilities. I miss all-nighters. No matter though, I'll be at work at 5:45am (as always) and the news will be waiting for me.

Lucky. My wife's schedule switched this week to 9:30 - 6. Since we work about 5 minutes away from each other we've been car pooling. So my work schedule has changed as well. And I HATE it. Afternoons are way too long.

Goodbye MrScott

John

The announcement will be at 3:30am. I heard this from Bryan Edwards. We were drafting players for the Cedar Point Fantasy Football League, and he said that would be the time for the announcement.

One thing is for sure I hope that the drawing on that other make beleive site is wrong, because I would hate to see them get the credit for being first to show you what the new project would be. I think that Pointbuzz is a very upper class of a site then you know who.

They aren't and won't be getting any credit. If anything they are losing credibility (assuming they had any) and respect (again, an assumption is being made).

Would a beyond vertical drop be considered an inversion?

Also, I didn't like the color scheme at first, but now I like it a lot because it reminds me of Iron Dragon, pre-McDonaldsization.
