I'd say anywhere from a 65-80 degree drop/rise

It's an optical illusion. The angle that the funcam is at is such that your seeing the hill not from the side, but from the end. That rise/drop is no more than 50 or 60 degrees.

imo

That bunny hill is pretty big. You have to have some speed to get up that thing, that means those transitions will have some high speeds. I thought the speed would be slower, i wonder how those things will feel. Guess i will find out next year. *** Edited 8/22/2006 7:29:43 PM UTC by Kris_09***

Kris, those transitions have the heartline design to them so they wont be violent (if that's what you're asking).

Here's a drawing I made showing how 'heartlining' works. Though the track may shift violently back and forth, the riders rotate around their center of gravity (about where ones heart is).

Think of it as the train swinging around and taking your lower body with it, while it keeps your head and shoulders in roughly the same spot.

A great example of the is the ground-hugging turns on MF. Notice how if you look straight on, it looks like it kicks out to the side before it makes the actual turn.

Based on the newest pictures it looks as though they're building it backwards (so far). The hill that has been constructed will be the lil air time bunny hill after the first hill (roughly 150ft based on the 60ft bunnyhill) then send you speeding through those wicked turns.

^ How do you figure?

Just going by the shape of the hill looks steeper on the lake side (part connected to the most track currently) Then with a 60ft bunny hill a 150-200ft tall first hill would work well followed by a 60ft bunny. I don't know I need a beer and to stop analyzing. haha!

Ok, so what is the unused footer under the bunny hop going to be used for? Is this for the hill and just needs another unplaced support or will track go through this spot (very tight...). Can be seen in the current webcam shot.

Looks like it belongs to another element - possibly part of a helix?

I hope they gave a heads up to the construction workers so we don't see anyone watering the bushes.

Does anybody have a link to that Top Thrill picture? I lost that picture. It was one of the funniest I have seen.... *** Edited 8/24/2006 3:13:04 PM UTC by Point4Life***
