News: Cedar Point adds Project 2007 webcam

I can see T&T's faces now, just looking at all of these ideas about what the coaster will be. They probably just laugh and laugh at all the ideas.

A webcam? Come on, just announce it already!!! I dont care about another cam, it just changed after 60 seconds. At least make it a cam that doesnt just take pictures...

Some people are never happy.

I too noticed the word "small" in their comment. It wasn't put there on accident.

I think it was likely more pointedly sarcasm than a hint of things to come. They said they were reading our posts and numerous posts have said how "small" the construction site is.

The site is pretty big by most peoples' standards. I think it is bigger than Raptor's site isn't it?

Platinum has it's perks. So does living exactly 97.5 miles from King's Island and Cedar Point

Yea...never happy. Never happy because i dont like a webcam that takes a picture every 60 seconds. Yep, never happy..

Thanks for saying the same thing as me. What is your point?

...you didnt pick that up? I meant that just because i dont like webcams that take pictures every 60 seconds it doesnt mean im never happy. It means i dont like webcams that take pictures every 60 seconds!

I think T&T emphasize the word "small" because throughout all of these posts people have been expecting way too much- and they are trying to downplay this as much as possible in order to "not disappoint" anyone, unfortunately it won't work.

If this attraction was as big as everyone is saying it is- then there would probably of been a very big lead up of hints, clues etc. to the announcement date like the Holiblog did on Voyage. They are downplaying this thing if you ask me- all they have really done is put up a couple of cute signs and have gone forward with construction and now they have put up a webcam in preparation for the soon coming announcement- I just encouarge you all to stop thinking this is some mega coaster, and start looking at what the clear facts are pointing to. I CAN'T WAIT TO RIDE THE NEW AQUATRAX its gonna be a BLAST!

Look at the entire construction site. The whole thing is covered in footers, and there aren't many places for new ones. In not one picture have we seen any plumbing work. If this ride really does have anything to do with water, other than going over the two ponds, I sure wonder where it's going to come from. Quote me: it will not be an aquatrax. It will not be a windwalker. It will probably be just a standard train on a ride with a cool layout and maybe a gimmick like dual launch/lift or something. I think this ride is really going to surprise some by people by how tame it will be.

maybe tame in comparison to TTD as a white knuckle thriller. I'm seeing this more as just a plain old FUN coaster, but just because it is tame does not mean that it will be boring...c'mon its CP for crying out loud.

There is nothing quite like becoming a human windshield on Millennium Force

Most people who have ridden Xcellerator and TTD will agree that it doesnt have to be the biggest and fastest to be the most fun.

I think since they read this site and other forum sites regarding Cedar Point, they want to calm us down and not think too highly. For example they're in way telling us that it won't a record breaking 500 ft tall. I agree with you Lettuce. When Project 2007 is annouced, we'll be scrating our heads and thinking "Why didn't I think of that".

I was looking at the webcam today and I saw something i thought i would share.

As a general rule, play-by-plays of the webcam are usually not a good idea. Thanks, anyway.

P.S. Good thing the topic wasn't over a month old...

Okay - guys, re-read Cedar Dan's post. Unless there is something significantly different since the last post, say nothing.

ucbearcat - linking to the webcam is pointless. Most of us know the link, and by the time you've linked it, the picture has changed, making your post irrelevant.

Dragon - yeah, that was posted about in the wrong thread. It should probably be here, IMO.

Brandon

Well now that this thread is back from the dead, I though it would be neat for you to know that they are putting up a hill in front of the camera.

You mean, exit english was right about it being a hill, and not a zero-g roll, loop, sideways pretzel-cleveland-steamer-inversion?
