Unfortunately, we do not know if it will be open by then. Common Wisdom would say that 2 weeks of downtime is a bit excessive, and hopefully they'd be back up and running by then, but it's hard to tell.

I think that even if the part does come in on a weekend, CP will be working to get it up.

*crosses fingers* Maybe it will come in tomorrow and be installed and running by sometime on Monday. I can only hope. 2/3 trips without MF is upsetting.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Does anyone know where the part is coming from? Is it coming from somewhere in the US?

You drove all the way from Rochester to CP because of a dream that MF was open?

No, I drove from Breakers Express to Cedar Point. I was already planning on getting up early, and checking it out. I just happen to have a dream that night that it was open.

And

Cheif Wahoo,
I was one of the people that didn't go to CedarPoint the full day because it wasn't open. Went at StarLight (5pm). Did that because the day before when it was closed was hell. 2hour wait for Raptor. 2and1/2-3hour wait for TTD...

And they could "inform" the hotels that the ride isn't open. Put the signs at the hotel too. I had it all planned out untill we got to the park and found out it was closed. F'd up everything.
I'm not tryin to blame CP for it, I know rides break down, I was just saying it would be more helpful if they informed you sooner.

it should be open by the 18th i think but who knows. No one knows whats going on, or when its going to open. I find it funny that when a ride is down everyone thinks they know what is wrong with it, or they start speculating.

i am curently at cedar point and i rode the railroad during the day and saw a bunch of guys with a new motor for MF. The object that appears to be the new motor is a blue box with what looks to be some kind of output shaft or gear sticking out of the end. It was to clean to have come from the ride. It appears to be still on the pallet it came on. Not sure if it is specificly for the lift but the workers and the truck with this object was placed on were parked next to the large drum with the lift cable on it at the base of MF. it looked as if they were moving a crane down from the construction site for 2007 down to MF. i'm hoping that they would be working on it all of tonight and maybe open for sunday?? i dont think that is going to happen tho, but it shoud be opening in the near future.

wonder if this will be the last break down for a while (when it comes back up). I als wonder, maybe MF needed some tune ups on the ride and this year it got it by replacing a bunch of new parts.

It's all just so weird. Like some kind of MF twilight zone.

Ew, MF Twilight Zone.

It never broke down twice....it just keeps happening for the first time over and over and over! haha

That sounds like Twilight Zone to me!

On the 5th my dad went into the main office and asked them and the people there have no idea what the hell there talking about.
They said it's day-to-day maintaince. It could be up tomorrow (was the 6th) now the 8th. They couldn't tell us anything.

They couldn't tell you anything. They would have lost their job if they did.
